Brooks/Lowery and Von are the only people I would want running the PnR with Yao. On our whole team, they are the only ones that can really drive to the basket. The only problem with using any of them is that they aren't used to playing the PnR with Yao. It isn't the same play when you have someone of his stature and lack of mobility running it with you, and I just don't think they have the right mentality to use it to it's full potential. What has worked if the high screen set by Yao. He usually is left wide open for a long jumper. Obviously I don't want him doing that all night, but I think our chances are always higher when he is getting 20+ shots a night, even if they are some of his lower percentage ones. What I don't like is when we swing it around to the other side and have Yao repost. I think he is too slow and takes too much of his energy to do so. Usually by the time we do it, Yao is already fronted again. Let our guards run off of screens and attack the basket when Yao is fronted. If all the focus in the paint is on Yao, it should create some lanes or find defenders over committed for an open shot. Or we can just do what they did. Run at their post players and purposely fall down to get them into foul trouble.
