Can someone explain this to me? I wasn't listening to 1560 last year, so I'm feeling a little lost. Entertained, but lost.
wow, yall left me hanging out to dry on that one. i take it that it's just a mock-mock draft of absurb people/places/things? i didn't understand the significance of nuno taking Jerome Dyson & Kimball Walker.
I'd post a meaningful response, but I have no idea what you're talking about, but know the feeling of throwing up an 0-fer thread, so I'll just say I hope you have a nice day.
Last year Sean and John were ripping on Peter King from SI for making a mock draft because he doesn't watch college football and only knows the players based on the combine and pro days. Somewhere they went down a path about how people can make a mock draft about anything and it would be better than Peter King's draft. So that's how it started.

Half the time I turn into 1560 its either a weak frat joke, Star Wars talk, or Seinfeld talk. All things I appreciate, but when I listen to sports I want to listen to sports. I know you guys slurp the game, they are friends of CF, yada yada, I just can't buy what they are selling. You'd think I would too... Oh well.
I'm just not a fan of college football, so that precludes me from listening to anything 1560 unless Clutch is on or Zierlein is doing an impression.
I listened to it for about 10 minutes yesterday and that in itself was way too long. It made for a quick, funny bit, but hours of this? No thanks. It was as if they were doing a show for just for the people that work there and a few of their regular hardcore callers.
When they start talking about the Seinfeld draft I immediately change the dial now. Someone needs to tell these guys that just because something "is about nothing" doesn't mean it is funny/clever in a Seinfeld way. I gave it a chance, but 30 minutes of babbling about non-sports related crap and giggling hysterically at your own jokes and inside references just makes for bad radio. They need to drop this schtick before I drop them as a listener.
Have you seen Dave Chappelle's Racial Draft? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xolPib2JXOo There's even a Yao Ming reference...
