I would trade Tracy for Billups straight up. And we are a scary, scary team.

You don't need that flexibility if you team is ready to contend. An addition of Billups alone makes Rockets a serious contender. If they get Dice, Wallace, or any quality player as well from Detroit just makes it more serious.

You build a team to contend, not to be flexible.

I would trade TMac for the Pistons ball boy at this point.

I hope we all understand that Billups isn't THIS good.

...and I honestly feel like they would be stomping the sorry Hornets right now with AI.

Given Billups did get traded, I'd believe him plus whoever was a real possibility.

I still remember the days Chicago writer would write some Tmac rumor and clutchfans would scoff at him. Oh well, how time has changed.

His stats may not be as nice as other PG's, but Billups' clutchness and composure is off the charts.

It could be the Pistons demanding that the Rockets release McDyess, if he was to be part of the deal.

Pretty sure role players don't drop 42 on the defending champs at the garden...

At the time last year, Tmac was playing at an elite level.

I still would of done it though.

Im not sure that was the trade proposal though.

With Iverson they would be watching on tv or getting crushed by the Lakers right now.

Three pages and nobody's mentioned the Ralph Sampson for Jordan + Drexler trade proposal.

Not really a mistake by Morey, he did the smart thing. A healthy Yao was coming back and we had just won 22 straight with Tmac leading us along with Artest coming in. Morey had no clue Tmac would turn out like this so I don't blame him at all.

Who would have known TMac suck so bad now? You can't blame Morey for not being the Nostradamus.
