I think it would be a great idea for our guys to do Mutombo's finger wag each block shot they get. Kind of like a way of appreciating him.
It would be something that can motivate our players more, like the 2005 series where they did that finger sign each 3 they hit.
the fans would love it, mutombo would love it, and most importantly it would lift team's spirit for the playoffs.

tell me what you guys think

Scola did it to Deke and he did not like it at all.

Can't really see this working. Who else blocks shots on this team? Maybe Yao sometimes? What's he gonna do like half a finger wag? Perhaps a pinky?

fans can do that, use a giant sign or a lot of signs, we can do that whenever we have a block shot, or even the one refs take away (foul called), a good message to send

Yeah, but this would be in a completely different context. Don't you think Yao doing it tomorrow night (and getting T'd up) wouldn't blow the roof off of TC?

I like this thread HueyNewton. But somewhere some newbie is going to say the inevitable... and when it happens I need to seek out tinman and give him my laptop. :D

Hope Yao does it after a block. Yao is probably one of the closer people to Mutombo just because he has to play against him during practice and probably because Mutombo has been giving Yao hints and tips

Fans should do it in unison on every miss and block.

Deke will love it, and also it will give good influece to the game.
Everyone cheers, and Rockets will be cheered, and the Blazers, especially the "Olden" will be depressed.:)

I think Yao should be shaking his finger when he blocked as Deke.

And Rockets and all the players should be wearing 55# red wrist to play the game!
