So one of the posters on here (dont worry Miguel I wont tell them its you) tells me this morning that spicy food is the devil to which angered me to no end.

Being South indian all our dishes were always spicy and even when i go to restaurants I pack on the spice, I dont know why I love to do it.

This banter started because I ordered some spicy fried rice yesterday and almost dumped out the entire red chili sauce paste and added in some of the green chilies that were on the table. onto my rice. it was a bit too overboard with the spice, I loved it last night but my stomach is hurting a little bit this morning, but I havent had any bad bowel movements usually associated with spicy food.

So do you like spicy food and if yes what is your favorite type of spicy food?

    I'll start:

    for me indian food wise:
mysore masala dosa with the spicy chutney and potato curry...they way they do it in india on the corner where the red chili paste they put on the inside of the dosa is sooooo good makes your eyes water when you eat it.

    food normally found most places:
Nachos with loads of japalenos and the hot salsa poured on.

I never ate spicy food untill I got with my g/f. She makes me eat all kinds of stuff I never thought I would eat. My favorite is the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp with cheese and peppers....MMMMMM. Good!

    Kimchi Jigae with SPAM.

    Pho with lots of Siracha

Pizza with jalapeno topped with crushed red pepper and Siracha for extra spice

    Yes most definately yes!

Some of my favorites are Bahn Mi with sliced Jalepeno's in them.
    Pad Thai with Sriracha sauce.
Nasi Lemak (rice cooked in coconut milk) with sambol blecang
    Texas Chilli
Beef Chow Fun with XO sauce
    Boudain
    Pico de Gallo
    Eggs and hasbrowns with Tabasco
    sashimi with wasabi

    I'll second the Dosa too.

For anyone who really likes spicy food I highly recommend trying Sri Lankan food.

I once dated a girl from Ohio.

She said she didn't like Cajun, Mexican, or Indian food.

    That didn't last long.

Hell yes, I'm a reborn Mexican so spicy is my middle name!

I like anything spicy...I like different types of spicy - mexican salsa, red hot sauces (lousiana), and whatever.

Believe it or not, I never liked spicy when growing up. I would get acid reflux/stomach problems if I ate anything too spicy. I never liked eating my mom's salsa. She would call me gringa. I started liking spicy when I was in my teenage years but I still wouldn't eat my mom's salsa because it was too hot. Now, I can eat it. I love my fiance's mom's salsa. She makes them really good!

I think Cajun food is the greatest cuisine in the world, so, yes, I like spicy food.

24 to nothing in favor so far! :)

I'm a huge fan of spicy. I once asked a Thai chef to try to make me cry (he did)... I did it again the other day with a different chef and he failed. Hot wings, Thai, Indian, Cajun probably top my list of favorites for hot stuff.

I always have a half dozen or so different flavors of hot sauce, a few salsas and sriracha sauce in my fridge at all times.

Yeah, those midwest folks can't hang. When we visit my wife's hometown in N. Indiana, I go into spice withdrawals. Salsa there is ketchup with pepper.

I love spicy food. Chili is my favorite. I also like a Korean soup called Kimchi Chegeh(I don't know how to spell it. But it sounds kind of like that). Also Mexican food.
