So what if Yao fouls out?

If Yao is on the floor, the offense has a better chance of not getting bad turnovers or taking bad shots and get offensive rebounds.

If Yao is swarmed and can't shot, he'll make a good decision and pass it to the right person.

Especially now, no Deke. Yao is only true big.

I don't mean to pick on you. Yao is very good. But statistics shows that we actually has a better chance of getting bad turnovers when he is on the floor.

Ok, now who is the Rocket's best rebounding and scoring threat... Statistically of course.

Well, I agree with Tinman that Yao should be on the floor as much as possible. I just pointed out statistically we have a higher TO rate when he's on the floor. I am just saying that strictly from a statistical point of view, not laying blame on the big guy.

We need Yao stay on the floor to anchor the defense. He not as good as Deke as blocking shot but he does alter shot at the rim. Blazers got a lot of penetration and layups when Yao was on the bench. Offensively, RA need find a way to get him more touch though.

Statistically, Warren Buffet had more losing trades than most people in the world, including you and me. So we are better investors than him.

LOL, you guys act like I bashed Yao. He's my favorite player on the team! I have only pointed out statistically wise, the Rockets as a team is more TO prone when he is on the floor. But who cares if he can score in bunch to make up for it and more? He can be so lethal that he can demolish any team if he can get it going. So, like the OP thinks, keep him on the floor as much as we can. Once again...listen carefully...I am NOT bashing him.

Oh Man the soundtrack kept me wondering... Will they show a clip of Yao flying in the air with fireballs coming out of his hand? Or will he start to fight the 7 monks of Shaolin with the epic sword from the 3rd dynasty.. :D

It's not about you. You can bash or love him all you want to. It's about your point - that the team is more TO prone when he is on the floor. This is real life, anything good comes with something bad, it's not about perfection but rather risk/rewards. Steve Nash turns over the most in the Suns team, but he still gets to handle the ball.

I know you are not bashing him. But you should actually feel free to, if you want to.

Yao needs to be aggressive and play like he's pissed off. Maybe the Deke injury will help light a fire under him. I wouldn't mind a couple of offensive fouls, he and the team would benefit more from a pissed off, aggressive style of play. He would start getting the benefit of the doubt on more calls too. C'mon Yao, do it for Deke.
