My heart just sank when he went down and he was in such obvious pain, knew it was over. Great player and man, he'll be missed on the court.
watching that last night I was just soooo sad. Deke has been and still is many ways the heart and soul of the team. Of all the people Deke. I hope the Rockets rally around for deke and dedicate the rest of this championship run to him and give him the send off he deserves!
Honestly, I don't know what could hurt more, this, or if we lost the series. The guy just seemed so invincible, he seemed bullet proof. It hurts to see him like this, it hurts that he didn't end his career on his terms. He is the glue that keeps this team together... Honestly, I just feel so bummed right now...
I honestly feel like he died, and in a way he did. When his eyes rolled around i literally felt ill. I hope its possible for him to recover enough to t least sit on the sideline, but the doc might say no because theres no way he could stay seating. good luck deke u r truly a hero and a man of men. i know the great things you do in your life off the court are so much more, and i hope you maintain a public relationship with the team. god bless you because you have certainly blessed many.
He's using the left knee a lot in this video. Wonder what kind of physical conditioning program he was running, if there was a way to get him more balanced.
EVERYONE in the toyota center should be doing a finger wag hand wave. As a fan, it's the least we can do.
Yeahh. Great job on the vid. Really gave me the chills. Mutombo, one of the greatest and most admirable people, will truly be missed in the NBA.
Great Vid CCR! I did get teary-eyed! I know we all want his jersey retired. However, we have no control over that. Therefore, my suggestion is for us (the members of clutchfans) pitch in money for Deke's cause as a thank you for five great seasons as Rocket. We are the best fan site in the world. Let's take it to the next level. Clutch, what do you think about it?

A man among men. A warrior among warriors. A hero among heroes. Deke was all that - and much more. Everyone remotely involved with basketball will miss him - not just the Rockets' players, management and fans. In his absence, the team can, will and must be inspired! That's the only true tribute the man, warrior and hero wants.
