Hell ya. Imagine JayWill throwing alley-oops to KG. Cato and Eddie on the boards to clean up, and Cuttino on the perimeter nailing open 3's. That team would easily be in the conference finals.

The only downside to such a trade is KG's contract. It eats up too much of the cap. Eventually, the Rice, Cato, Norris, etc mistakes will go away. But the Garnett contract would not. He will want to resign +15%. So I would say no.

Consider that Francis could still be traded for someone without a rediculous contract and that at some point the mistakes will go away and we can sign a free agent worth something.

Minnesota wouldnt do it because Francis would be a free agent after this year and WOULD leave Minnesota.

    No Deal End of Story.

Rockets also wouldn't re-sign Francis to a long-term deal and them deal him. It would make the respected rockets brass look horrible. No deal

    HELL YEAH!!! No hesitation, either!

Draft Ming @ #1, Frank Williams or Dan Dickau @ #15:

    Cato, Ming
    KT, EG
    KG, TMo
    Cat, Torres
    Mooch, #15

In a heartbeat. (And I'm a fan of Francis)

OH WELL! I CAN DREAM, RIGHT?!

Always take the taller player when equal talent is being asessed.

    I would do the deal.

I would do that in a second....KG has the skills of Francis in a much taller package....and most importantly...no headaches! Man I love Francis...but I also love KG and I am in favor of any trade that lands him on this team.

It seems that the concesus answer is "yes" but Gator brought up some good points in regards to the Twolves and what they would want. I want to make two assumptions. The Minn. wants cap relief and draft picks. It was also stated that Minn didn't want SF. Since SF is the most important person on this team, I imagine you guys would not mind losing any of our big three as long as it is just one of them. We will have to include two high salary players(Rice, MoT, Cato) to make the numbers work. I don't think the pups would want Cat unless he they move Wally, so that leaves Griffin.

    How about.

Houston trades: SF Glen Rice (8.6 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 30.3 minutes)
SF Maurice Taylor (8.6 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 30.3 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (8.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.9 apg in 27.4 minutes)
SF Eddie Griffin (8.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 0.7 apg in 26.0 minutes)
PF Jason Collier (4.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.4 apg in 14.6 minutes)
PF 53rd Draft Pick (4.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.4 apg in 14.6 minutes)
Houston receives: SF Lamar Odom (13.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 5.9 apg in 34.5 minutes)
SF Kevin Garnett (21.2 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 5.2 apg in 39.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +4.6 ppg, +3.8 rpg, and +3.5 apg.

L.A. Clippers trades: SF Lamar Odom (13.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 5.9 apg in 34.5 minutes)
L.A. Clippers receives: PG Moochie Norris (8.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.9 apg in 82 games)
Change in team outlook: -5.0 ppg, -3.1 rpg, and -1.0 apg.

Minnesota trades: SF Kevin Garnett (21.2 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 5.2 apg in 39.2 minutes)
Minnesota receives: SF Glen Rice (8.6 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 20 games)
SF Maurice Taylor (8.6 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 20 games)
SF Eddie Griffin (8.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 0.7 apg in 73 games)
PF Jason Collier (4.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.4 apg in 25 games)
PF 53rd Draft Pick (4.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.4 apg in 25 games)
Change in team outlook: +0.4 ppg, -0.7 rpg, and -2.5 apg.

We would also have to send the two Clipper picks to Minnesota, keep our 15th to draft a guard or Center and we would get the Clips 1st pick next year.

Do you think the Pups would do it???

    Our line up would be

    Cato, MCE
    Garnett,KT, #15 pick
    Odom,Garnett, Morris
    Mobley, MCE
    Franchise, Brown
