"In four games, Olajuwon averaged 32.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists, and won the battle of the big men against Shaquille O'Neal. 'What he did is hard to believe,' said Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich."

    Dayum. Good D Shaq, LOL.

Dream over Bird, Havlicek, and Willis Reed?

Some actual respect from EPSN. Who would have thought!

This doesn't make up for them calling the Rockets one of the worst champions ever. Let's see, they have one of the best finals performers of all time, but they're the 2nd worst team to win a championship...okay.

I believe that by Houston getting the 1st pick in the draft again, it show everybody how important the 1st pick was. And what Hakeem was able to really do for the Rocket and the league locally and internationally.

All this luck the Rockets are having is helping Hakeem's popularity again. Plus Ming loved Hakeem. So I am sure Hakeem will be talked about a lot next season also do to Ming in the NBA.

I could be wrong, but weren't Shaq's numbers virtually identical? The difference is that Houston's supporting cast played much better.

    I agree
I think he was more impressive the previous year against the Knicks

Harper and Starks ate our guards for lunch, if not for Dream dominating Ewing, it would not have been close

the last second block on Starks was something I will NEVER forget

Yup. Shaq averaged about 28 pts and 12 rebs in that series. He also shot 62% to Hakeem's 48%. When Shaq always says "Hakeem destroyed me", it's out of the utmost respect. From what I remember of that series and the battle, it was about dead even. Hakeem has always said that even though he knew what Shaq would do, there was really nothing he could do about it.
