What a great person, I sincerely hope he stays with the organization and we get to see him on the sideline. It just wouldn't be the same without him.
i konw that's hard for a veteran who had been in NBA for more than 20ys we can image many scenes when Deke retired would like, but now, that's over yet what a pity~but maybe that's the true life. we must live with the time
What a way to end your career...........I'm speechless and very sad, a win would not have made it better at all. I just wish Dikembe had a chance to end it in the Toyota Center and was there when we finally got past the first round. How things can change in a split second I feel very sorry for him, hearing about a 42 year old man cry about being injured especially a great humble human being like Deke... May God be with you Deke and may you be with God. May the fans and Rockets organisation be in spirit with Deke and may Deke be with the Rockets in physical form to cheer the team on Hopefully he will be alright and rejoin the troops soon Salute
damn oden , he is just an empty-headed kid, always doing something damgerous, don't expect him to be a great center any more, he is going to be the next Olowokandi.
Tonight we lost more than just inside muscle and defensive presence when Deke went down. We lost a veteran leader whos impact could never be measured by statistic alone. Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo played longer with other teams but he was what you wanted in a true Rocket and will forever be remembered that way. Thanks for leaving it all out on the floor Deke thats all any real Rockets fan would ever ask....
