    Small blame=Refs
Big blames=Missed free throws and lost intensity in the 2nd half

Actually, this was one of the most biased games I have ever seen called in the NBA. But once I realized that, and moved on with the assumption we were going to get shafted at every turn, I was laughing at how bad the calls were. The calls where no one even touched the opponent were especially amusing. The one thing that chaps by bottom is how Prysbilla and Odem are allowed to put Yao into wrestling holds every time. See how Kobe would do if they allowed that on him...but that's apparently different. I jsut want to see the game's best big man allowed to play. Not get 3 completely horse poop fouls and be mugged everytime down. How's that basketball?

But in the end, the Blazers got every call and won by 4. Last game we got a slight majority of calls and won by 30. With Yao still getting BS calls against him. The Blazers don't have a chance in the rest of this series, I see it going 6 at most, Rockets win the series here at home.

P.S. Why oh god why was Aaron Brooks in the game at the end??? WIth Lowry, we went from -2 to +4. With Brooks, it went from tied to -8. Only his miraculous 3s made it close. I love Brooks, but if he's not shooting, he's not playing. Period.

Essentially the Rockets lost it on free throws, because the players missed 10 free throws. The refs kept giving them to the Rockets, and they kept throwing it away.

I've never seen an NBA game officiated this poorly on both sides...u can get better calls playing street ball. it was not the reason the rockets lost this game (they took care of that by missing 10 free throws), but it made for a poor product on the floor.

The refs were acting like they were part of the show and did not allow the players to play the game...

Just because we were winning doesn't mean the refereeing wasn't ATROCIOUS.

I don't think it was Yao's fourth foul that hurt us. Yao only had six shots all game, Adleman needs to work out how to get Yao the ball cause Yao's teamates are going away from him when Yao is fronted. Roy torched Artest, Battier did a better job on Roy so I did not understand why Adleman went back to Artest guarding Roy in the last five minutes of the game.

    Did we just get Donaghy'd?

I'm not usually a conspiracy person. And I know we could have won had we made free throws.

However, I think we may have just got Donaghy'd.

I don't gamble, but I like looking at the lines to see what the general consensus about our chances is. Today we were a 5.5-6 point underdog. In game 1 we were a 4-5 point underdog.

How can an nba observer watch the blowout of game 1 and then conclude that we should be an even BIGGER underdog in game 2? To contrast, the Lakers were a 7 point fav in game 1, in game 2 they are an 11 point fav. That makes sense.

The Rockets line doesn't really make sense, so that kind of alerted me.

Watching the game obviously there were a bunch of bad calls. The phantom calls on Yao/scola early in the game were pretty shady.

But with about 3-4 minutes left in the game starting with the foul call on battier against roy, When Battier played perfect D but it ended up being a foul on the box out maybe?? Things started to get really questionable from here on.

Particularly, the hook shot Yao made with like 57 seconds left. That hook put us 6 behind. It seemed like a pretty clear and1 call to me, Pryzbilla (i think?) was leaning into him pretty hard, but it was a nocall. ( a extra and 1 there would have put us within the line ), then right after that on the other end Roy did the same thing pretty much but it was a foul on us.

Brooks kind of ruined their plans by draining those 2 prayer 3s. But I can't help but feel in the back of my mind that we got Donaghy'd here.

    Exactly

    But apparently

It is the refs fault we didn't even try to go to Yao in the 4th but maybe 1 time and it was knocked away by Oden.

It is the refs fault that we missed free throws.(Guess it could be since they put us there but then fans would complain about the no call)

It is the refs fault Brooks turned the ball over a few times in the 4th qt.

It is the refs fault we couldn't stop Roy and Aldridge tonight.

Only thing I blame the refs for is the ticky tack calls early on in the game, well guess what they called the same bull**** calls for both teams. Stop acting like the refs showed the Blazers favoritism.

Refs were calling it tight throughout but it wasn't that one sided.

No. We missed FTs, got burned on D, and made stupid turnovers.

I agree. Refs aren't the reason this team can't function properly when Yao's being fronted. Sick of seeing fans blaming our failures on the refs, news alert, when the same failures have been repeating themselves the last 5 years, maybe its the team itself.

All i'm going to say is Crawford and Palmer should not ref Playoff games.

I feel sorry for the next team that gets Joey. I haven't seen Palmer yet, so maybe the NBA is learning.

yeah i think the gambling companies bought up all of our players to not give the ball to Yao
also, they make sure their conspiracy stays in secret by giving Przybilla, Oden, AND Aldridge FIVE fouls each midway to the 4th quarter, right

No doubt in my mind this was the worst officiating playoff game I've seen so for. Ask Bill Worrell he also said it during the game. Pathetic Joey Crawford and his phantom calls at the wrong time.

Battier's block on Roy, Roy falls back on his missed jumper, Portland was over the back of Scola & Fernandez fell on his own were all terrible calls down the stretch. Yes we did miss too many free throws, but these bad calls hurt the Rockets.

Yeah only if you expect the Rockets to get every single call.

Which doesn't happen to any team in the NBA.
