Houston trades Mo, Rice to Denver and the number 1 to LAC Denver trades Antonio to Houston and the number 6 to Cleveland Cleveland trades Andre Miller to Denver plus throw ins LAC trade Odom to Houston and the 8 and 12 to Cleveland There is definitely some other touches to be made but I think there is a way to get Odom and Antonio in H-town without losing Steve , Cat, or Griff. Houston gives: #1 Pick Glenn Rice Mo Taylor Possible #15 Houston Gets: Antonio McD Lamar Odom Cleveland gives: Andre Miller Cleveland gets: #8, #12, #6, LAC give: Lamar Odom #8, #12 LAC get: #1 Denver gives: Antonio McD Denver gets: Glenn Rice Mo T Andre Miller #15? This is the kind of trade that gets my blood boiling. Saucey enough for you guys?
DENVER IS TRYING TO RELEASE PEOPLE WITH BIG CONTRACTS SO THAT THEY CAN MAKE A MOVE IN THE FREE AGENCY MARKET IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS. NEVER WOULD THEY TAKE CONTRACTS OF BOTH TAYLOR, AND RICE
I think Denver has little chance of landing players better than Rice or MoT in free agency. Anyway, this is just my crazy trade idea. I was feeling left out and needed some time in the spotlight. Hoowee! I get to see my name on the BBS!
wow, i'm rather impressed rocketsauce... usually i laugh at the proposterous trade proposals on this site... but this one seems rather well planned out... kudos! the only concern i had was LAC giving up 3 lottery picks for the #1 (remember, Odom was a former lottery pick)... but in retrospect, the LAST thing that LAC needs is 2 more young guys to throw into the mix... adding Yao Ming would allow them to free Olowakandi and use that money to sign Brand and Miles to huge extensions... i like this idea! cleveland would be able to rebuild instantly, with 3 lotto picks... denver gives up quality(mcdyess), but gets quality in return (miller) most of the trades on this site are so narrowminded and onesided for the Rockets, but this one takes all teams into accont!
I give you a starting lineup of Francis, Cat, Odom, Antonio, and Cato with Griff as your 6th man and you complain. Tell me the trades impossible, but don't bit*h about no center.
Oh sh*t. I thought this was a Rockets fan site. Didn't know we were so concerned for the Nugz. Besides, this is the same franchise that just traded NVE and Raef for Juwan Howard. I think I made it reasonable all things considered. Hell, give them Kenny too.
It's been a while, but can any of you guys remind me of the record for posting in your own thread. I think "TheCat" has it but I could keep this up for a while. Look out Kitty, I'm coming for you.
Houston gives: #1 Pick Glenn Rice Mo Taylor Possible #15 Houston Gets: Antonio McD Lamar Odom Cleveland gives: Andre Miller Cleveland gets: #8, #12, #6, LAC give: Lamar Odom #8, #12 LAC get: #1 Denver gives: Antonio McD Denver gets: Glenn Rice Mo T Andre Miller #15? Pretty creative idea, but you need to tweek the trade some to work under the cap. You're showing Denver giving up $12M in salary, but taking back around $17.5M in salary. They wouldn't be able to take that much back. Also, that's a pretty bad deal for Denver.
I know that there probably needs some extras or maybe even additional teams involved. But, I think it's not too far out of the realm of possibilities to just dismiss. We've got options. Big time options. I am more suprised than anyone that JWill is considered the prixe of the draft. Ming might be awesome, but we have the opportunity to get rid of Mo, Rice and pick up a SF and PF to make this roster a contender. Can Cato contain Shaq. No, but who can. Give me Antonio and Lamar with Francis, Cat, & Griff and I'll start booking hotels for next June. Maybe getting both is impossible. Hell, switch some teams and give me Artest and a pick. How about Rashard and and a pick. How about Rasheed and ... Second thought keep Rasheed and choke on it. Anyway, I think my poit is clear. We can get a SF and a PF in this draft and I'm not talking about POTENTIAL or looking for gold in the middle of the first round. There are teams with big decisions on their rosters and we have some ability to help. Denver - Cannot keep Antonio. He's unhappy and will be gone at the end of the year. He is now a PR problem for a team that needs decent PR. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't live in Denver so sue me. Cleveland needs players to develop and apparently doesn't want to commit to Andre (I think is a the best point in the NBA) LAC - Want Jay Williams and need value for Odom. They don't need the #8 & #12. There are many other teams with problems as well. Hell get Seattle involved with Rashard. Get Minnesota involved with Wally. Get Miluakee involved with Glenn, Tim, or Sam. Get Golden State involved with Antawn. Get Memphis involved with Battier. Get New Orleans involved with Baron. Don't tell me they wouldn't like to start from scratch with some talent. Half of the Blazers want out of Portland. My God, this is exciting. There are more big time players on the block right now than at anytime in recent memory. And the key is, it all goes through Houston. Stop thinking 3-way, lket's dreamcast. Hell we're allowed. We had to watch Moochie dribble for about 48 hours this past year. Let's get some blood pumping again.
Out of all the names you have mentioned Rasheed's stands out the most to me. I'm interested to hear why you don't like him. I would trade the #1 straight up for him. Well I might make big bank take a bad contract of our hands.
I'm confused. Can someone answer this question? Isn't it against league rules not to have a #1 pick in two consective drafts? Since we don't have a #1 next year, how can we trade both #1s this year?
I guess I just want Portland to choke on their current roster. I would love Rasheed and Portland has enough players to make any trade with anyteam work. Hell send Derek Anderson to Denver and Rasheed to us. This is just my point. If you get Cleveland, LAC, Denver, New Orleans, and The Bucks together with us in a giant player orgy that would make Ron Jeremy blush, then that's the real reward for getting the #1 in a draft where it actually seems to mean something.
thumbs, You just trade the draft rights to a player, so you are not technically trading a draft pick, but it has the same effect.
