last game i had about 25 people over, 2 on 1 couch 3 on another, i wouldn't allow anyone else to sit on the couches but us once the game started, we played well in that line up so we had permanent seat checks, unfortunately one of the couch members goes to texas state and won't be here for the game tonight, i'm hoping i can replace her karma effectively...

In the first season with tracy mcgrady where we got to game 7 against the mavs i had to miss the game to go to my sisters birthday... some guy that was working at the restaurant was listening to it on the radio and he told me we lost by 40 points... I haven't missed a game since...

Got to be Worrell/Drexler/Bullard for me; regardless if ESPN, ABC, or TNT is also broadcating. Especially if ESPN has that ditzy broad calling the game. Can't believe she is so clueless about the Game. Only ocassionally switch to national from local just to hear their announcers comment on a particular play. Pretty shallow, IMO.

When I'm watching a Rocket's game and we are starting to lose, I turn off the game and come back to it because I think we will start winning again. This works more times than not. I guess I should stop watching the 4th quarter. ;)

Well, for of our away games this season and game 1 vs Portland ive been wearing my last years 08 playoff shirt which I altered to an 09 by manipulating the 8 with some paint. I plan on wearing it for the away games and utilizing my Artest jersey for the home games. Ive too retired the tmac jersey after last season.

I've had so many over the years that I have to kick myself when I allow myself to get caught up in it.

That said, tonight the official beer of the Rockets Winning Ways will be in position, on my same ol' coffee table from the championship years, labels pointed appropriately.

I should probably give my good luck amigo a call and see if he wants to lend himself to the karma train.

I will be wearing the exact same thing I wore game one.

    Authentic Rockets Home game shorts.
    A long sleeve undershirt
A black Rockets on court t-shirt. (circa 2006-2007 season)

    Lets go Rockets!

This will sound a little extreme but everytime the opposite-team has a player at the FT-line I think he will make the shot if I don't do the "blow-job move". I've done it since I was a kid and everyone thinks I'm nuts, I basically hold my hands in a circle over my crouch while saying "your mama" and humping up.

    Yes,

I do my best to act like i'm 11/12 yrs old again. Which is how old I was when the Rockets won the championships. Try it! :D

ok so busting out my lucky food for tonight

the rockets are like 24-3 when I eat this when watching rockets games:

    from Taco Plus:

Nachos with black beans (no meat)
3 cups of Pico de Gallo
    1 cup of Jalapenos
1 cup of their homemade hot salsa

So I will be eating that tonight for the game...its really filling and heavy but I dont know what else to do besides wearing my Deke jersey tonight.

Our last two losses of the season, I wore one of my Houston Rockets shirts on gameday.

I decided after the Dallas game that I'm not going to wear it on gameday anymore. So, that's basically my only superstition.

Checking my phone after the score is posted after each quarter has ended (believe it works, when I don't check it, the Rockets struggle in the next quarter), note it only works for the first 3 quarters. Also, I try to watch the game in an HD channel (non-hd channels are bad luck).

I didn't wear my lucky hat today when I went out. Does it count if I wear it right now until the game starts. Seriously I am gonna need a ruling on this.

I don't have a jersey, specific clothes that I wear, or any sort of typical game watching ritual. Sometimes I watch games in the bedroom, sometimes on the big screen, sometimes at my folks house or at a sports bar. But I am definitely rockin the playoff beard.

I decided that if we lost to the Mavs in the last game of the season, then I would shave off all the unlucky facial hair I had acquired to that point. So I shaved about 30 minutes before tipoff of game 1 of the Portland series. Now I'm starting to look like a teenager that's just about 6 months passed the point where he needs to buy his first razor and my goal is to look like Grizzly Adams by the time this MF'er is over with. My fiance does not like the sandpaper-like texture I have taken on, but is totally understanding of my mission and my dedication.

Oh yeah, I also raise 2 shot glasses of chilled vodka before the tip off of any game, so I guess that totally negates paragraph one of this post.

Go Rockets... turn Rip City into R.I.P. City!

This year I haven't let any of my friends talk about getting to the next round, and I wear an autographed authentic Yao Ming jersey while eating 20 original hot wings from Wing Stop.
