OK, am I the only one who is tired of this guys constant b****ing and moaning? Its funny, I backed him up when he had that feud between him and Shaq, but I think his true color has shown through this past couple of weeks with his team playing like crap leading to the playoff.

What gets to me is how he disrespect his player by constantly calling them out to the media when things go wrong...not once has he taken responsibility. Sometimes its up to the coach to bring the best out of his players if they're not playing hard. Wow, did you see him push some of his players away from himself when they were celebrating as if he was very agitated and annoyed? What kind of message does that send to his player?

He is defintely not a player's coach which is fine, but take a little responsibility for once and he should talk to his players behind close doors b/c obviously it isn't working getting it done through the media. He is half the man and coach of his older brother Jeff. Jeff would always takes the blame himself even if its undeserved and he knows how to handle his player which is why they respect him so much.

I'm not going say his Magic's team has lost him yet, but if things continue to go down hill I won't be surprise if it did happen. He needs to settle down and shut up to take the pressure of his players.

Have people seen that video of Dwight impersonating SVG and his whiny screeching voice?

Im at work so can't post it, check YouTube, and if someone else could pop it in this thread it would be perfect.

    Its freaking hilarious.

The guy is annoying as shiat! His persona is nothing like his brother's. Jeff is measured and always looks in control of the situation. Stan talks too much, has a horrible voice, whines non stop about everyone and every thing, has zero sense of humor, and his body language combined with his incoherent babble in postgame conferences reminds of the wanna be bank robber waving his gun at random, warning the cops not to get near or he will "GO CRAZY!!!!!"

One thing's for sure... Jeff is smarter. If you yell at your players every chance you get, it stops being effective, especially when it is needed the most.

Jeff is smarter, but they share the same type of over controlling mantra as a coach.

Agree. Sad to see Stan kinda losin' it with his players. I always thought Riles was wrong when he kicked him out as coach, so he could take over when the team looked like it might go a long way. Maybe he knew something, after all.

I don't see one as being any better or 'smarter' than the other. I think Stan is probably a little more flexible. I don't see JVG starting both Lewis and Turkoglu at forwards. They both coach more like college coaches though.

I didn't see it like that. I saw him trying to contain his players to keep them in the vicinity of the bench area. Ever since the Phoenix-Spurs incident, you see all the coaches hold their players back.

SVG reminds me of Scott Skiles or Avery Johnson in that his style is going to wear on any team after a while. He gets away with it in Orlando because they are winning but if Orlando doesn't go deep into the playoffs I can see a player revolt in the near future. SVG doesn't forge personal relationships with players like Jeff does. With JVG you get the feeling that he has his players' backs where SVG just sounds like he cries and complains 24/7.

Orlando will need a bit more talent and a real coach to take the next step. SVG is the type of guy that can make an ok team good or a good team better but he can't lead a team to a Championship.

he's a good coach who highlights Howard and makes him look good

Orlando could do much much worse. With the talent they have versus the other teams in the East: Cavs, Atlanta, Boston, etc they've pretty much optimized what they have

LOL. Between Howard, LeBron, Wade, Bosh, and CP3, the league will have plenty of personality for years to come.

SVG's coaching shouldn't matter...Orlando made the best trade in league history by getting Rafer Alston.

Once a guy cries wolf enough the team stops listening to him....that is where it looks like Orlando is right now.
