http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwPk9_TEdaQ lets see if you notice what i do. first off , everyone on realgm is talking about how this gives chills and is one of the best ever so i took time away from feeding my newborn to watch what i thought would be awesome and show atleast 1 rocket nope.now my wife is mad at me what a freaking joke, im pissed, tnt sucks and so does barkley 1.notice how nearly every team thats advancing to second round is not shown,(there is no rocket,76er,maverick,not even a spur,no chris paul) 2.notice how all the teams that are chokeing are shown(except james and kobe)..players like pierce, dwight howard, brandon roy are shown 3.this proves that tnt thinks dwight >yao, roy >artest , garnett >duncan 4.i mean, boston sucks yet they show all three, dwight wont advance and they show him ALOT even though yao is BETTER head to head , chris paul isnt shown even though is the best pg in the league
Who cares what TNT does? All that matters to me is that the Rockets win. Oh, Brandon Roy is better then Artest.
i didnt see the intro what did irk me a little was about a month or so back TNT had a long playoff promo that had everyone but Rockets highlights in it. There were highlights of the mavs, spurs, hornets, lakers, blazers, nuggets and there were even highlights of the suns! the suns! this was about the time when the rockets may not have clinched a playoff spot but it would require a 10+ game losing streak to not make the playoffs. the only reference they had to the rockets was a highlight of Roy scoring on the rockets. That made me really upset because you had at the time the 4th seed in the west not even being shown in a highlight about the playoffs when every other team was. I am not sure who was in charge of putting that together but that is just poor taste and professionalism IMO
I thought this was about the choice of music. Eh, I thought so far the play-off mixes on the networks showed every team. At least they finally got Carl Landry on one of those "where will amazing happen this year" promos for his block and save against the Jazz last year.
yup Roy is definitely better than Artest.. if only Gundy tanked that one game.. and the blazers didnt steal roy .. we would have Roy instead of Battier now.. and probably in the talks of going all the way. oh well..
TNT makes the best intro's out of anyone IMO. I don't know what the hell all the bashing is all about just because they didn't include the Rockets. Who cares? Just enjoy the mix, they work very hard to put that stuff together, appreciate it.
there is only one way to start nba playoff game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uooi...A9E4BD1D9&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=1
I actually liked this ad, it was creative. Who cares if we're not in it, if we get to the Finals we'll get all the ads we want about us.
What a lame ad! Good idea, terrible execution. I expected better from TNT. It is as if the director thought, "I cannot convey my idea through visuals so let me use an annoying voiceover. And, I'll show less of my sport and overload the symbolism with another sport. It'll be so kewl." A sledgehammer has never been so subtle.
It was a good concept...but now that I'm 26 years old (right around the average of these NBA players) it gets harder to look at them as larger than life. Sometimes I'd rather just see in game footage than some staged face off at a chess board where it's easier for me to imagine them cracking up between takes than it is for me to believe they're actually thinking about the playoffs. I wish they'd just use the real footage...the real emotion...like NBC used to do. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Rryd_lUtZ8I&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Rryd_lUtZ8I&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bjIBceCJq40&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bjIBceCJq40&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xJ5tU2dWdzk&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xJ5tU2dWdzk&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I understand that it sucks that a Rocket isn't in the commercial but it also doesn't automatically make the commercial terrible. What? You want ABC or ESPN to do it? I wish the NBA would go back to NBC.
Meh... that was lame. Not because there were no Rockets in it, it was lame completely on its own merits. NBC is the absolute best at this stuff -- setting the stage, building the drama. It's a shame they don't still carry the games.
