I'm definately one of the biggest Stevie supporters out there so don't begin to bash until you think. Steve Francis, fan favorite, and I look back at his history. Drafted by Vancouver, complains, gets what he wants. Comes to Houston, buds up with Cuttino, and Barkley retires and talks about how they won't listen to elders. Hakeem leaves and has things to say along the same line as Barkley about Steve. Doesn't pass ball to Shandon and keeps it between Cuttino and him and guess what? Shandon gets traded. Likes Moochie, Moochie stays. Likes Cuttino, Cuttino stays. Throughout his history, it definately looks as if Steve ALWAYS gets what he wants. Now, with reports of Francis not minding much if Cuttino were traded, and Ming not being wanted by Francis. Doesn't it give you somewhat of a small thought that Steve is somewhat stubborn, and runs Houston? I'm begining to think that all he wants is himself to be THE star player with no other contributor and/or person known as Houston's star player. Thoughts?

I have always thought that Steve cared more about himself than the team. Do we really want that type of personailty on the team
    ?

I said "with the reports" I didn't say with the credible reports from top news sources. I'm just saying thats rumored. And why did Anderson want out?? I remember that season. Everytime down the court, Cuttino steal, to Steve, Shandon running down middle, Steve across court to Cuttino for the layup. Shandon never got the ball and so he wanted out.

LOL. Francis did not say that. If he was that adamant about Ming not coming to Houston don't you think he would had made a similar comment to the "we don't need a point guard" statement like "we don't need a center". He was given the opportunity at the draft lottery but he wasn't that much inclined to take it half as much as the point guard issue which wouldn't even much be a concern with this team to begin with. No offense to anyone but I feel that was misinformation fueled by frustration since its clear CD and Rudy are leaning towards staying with Ming.

The reason why Francis did not want to play in Vancouver was because Bibby was already a PG for them and Steve did not want to play SG as eveybody already probably knows. However, I never knew Steve wouldn't mind if Cuttino were to be traded. And about Shandon not getting the ball..... Shandon sucks. I dunno why so many people praised Anderson when we had him. Mediocore shooter, can't pass, can't finish, always turned the ball over for easy point oppurtunities and his D was very overrated.

    Rockets R' Us:

I had a thread that was pretty similar to this a couple of days ago. It might be on the 2nd or 3rd page. It was called "Will the Rockets Ever Do Anything with Francis as Their Leader?"

There were some pretty good posts in that thread, so you might want to read it if you are interested.
