I'm just not used to getting all those calls! It was beautiful

Being a Houston sports fan, I am still nervous about the next games but I'll soak this up

They'll make it up by going their way next game. For some reason the refs never favor us during home court.

That thought was at the back of my mind the whole time I watched and I became more conscious about verifying it as the game went on, especially during times when the Blazers tried starting runs; but, I couldn't see any calls in our favour that weren't merit. Yao, Brooks, and Scola just hit their shots tonight.

We got the calls because we stayed aggressive.

There were some bad calls on Yao, especially the blocking foul on Rudy, and the offensive foul on Roy.

With decent referees, the team in the paint usually gets the calls. The Rockets were in the paint constantly for 3 quarters. The Blazers weren't nearly aggressive enough to get the calls.

Please... The Blazers defense was atrocious. We were pushing them around the whole night.

Given the fact that Oden pushed off on nearly every single basket he scored, I won't go as far as to say that the calls went Houston's way tonight. The Rockets just played with more drive and forced the issue, which led to them getting to the free throw line a lot more.

    Are you stupid or what?

Rudy literally bumped Yao outside the semicircle to the ground => Foul on Yao
Brandon Roy flopped on Yao => Foul on Yao

I may be wrong but the 3rd and 4th fouls on Yao were bad calls.

We set the tone. We were aggressive. when you're the aggresor you get most calls.

I thoguht it was an evenly called game. It just seemed like the calls went our way because we're not used to getting the calls we're supposed to get. Nevertheless, Yao still had a couple of cheap fouls called on him but it was a blessing in disguise cause he sat out practically the entire second half and that'll keep his legs fresh for Game 2. So to answer your question, no the calls weren't going our way...very even to me.
