we should have traded Roy O for prospects after last year. The management should have known this team was going nowhere this year, and that guys with Roy's frame just don't have the durability of a bigger pitcher (he is a beast though). At the very least it would be nice to see the guy on a team where he has a chance to compete, at this stage in his career.

yeah, i'm sure they'll play .143 ball for the whole season, finishing the season with about 23 wins making us the worst team in MLB history. 23-139, here we come!!!!

Unless he requests to be traded, I would not trade him.

I'll take Lee and his contract. I've got and extra here at the house and all the Lean Cuisine he can eat!

I think they need to trade everybody and start over. All the fans would have to buy new jerseys and memorabilia! What a boon for Drayton!

    Three words...

    NO TRADE CLAUSE

Why can't people understand that concept?

uhh im sure Roy would welcome a trade to a contending team that is on his little list. he's talked about it for a couple years now.

It is one thing to talk about it publicly. It is something very different to actually sign off on it.

This also all is predicated upon some team that Roy would OK having enough to get the trade done and the willingness to part with it.

IF we continue to struggle like we have been the past two seasons what's the main point in keeping Roy Oswalt hostage in our team?

The man wants to win that's a clear point..if it ain't going to happen here let him go..geez if only the Astros could understand...
Let's not let good talent go to waste because we want to force him to stay.

Even though they were probably a hurricane away from making the playoffs last year, you consider they struggled?
