Aaron Brooks is really just Bobby Jackson at heart.

I think it could help him just to play loose with Von+Carl+BB...

I wanted it to happen during the regular season and since it didn't I don't believe Adelman would do it for game 1 of the playoffs.

So has there been any verification or was just some one at espn who said it might be a good idea?

I hope so, We could use his veteran savvy. Not too long ago he was hitting dagger three-balls for the Spurs. I think Adelman might have been resting him against Dallas(Just a guess).

A good defender, and his PER has been over 15 since he joined the Rockets (14.5 for the season, and also for his career). Over past 3 seasons, these are the PGs with a PER of at least 14 (playing at least 3500 minutes, box score stats are per minute):

Mostly starter caliber, and this represents Lowry's first 3 seasons in the league ... so he should get better. The "numbers" indicate Lowry isn't stuck in the middle of backup territory. I think he could be a serviceable starter, but unlikely to be a star.

I am never a Brooks fan. And it's obvious Brooks was very hesitant and indecisive with the ball in recent games. I sum up Brooks's game as 3 "don't knows" : Don't know where to pass, Don't know when to drive, and Don't know when to shoot.

I can see Brooks coming off the bench. Sorry Aaron but you looked way too nervous in the Dallas game. Landry's next if he doesn't pick it up.

    IT'S THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

While this may be true, there is absolutely nothing that supports this to date. Do I think he should start over AB - yes. Is he "proven" as a starter for a playoff team much less even for Memphis - no.

I would presume it is a call from morey, morey (who picked lowry) cant stand freaking abrooks any more, and AD defend him like his own son. After last night, abrooks arugablely cost rockets the most vital game of the season, morey forces the issue. And somehow ESPN over hear it.

No way Brooks is benched. Last time Brooks was benched, we lost 16 points in 4th quarter vs. Dallas.

This is Lowry's time to shine and outplay Brooks for a starting position next season.

IF the rumors are correct I really don't mind Brooks being benched his been in his own little world as of lately..

hard numbers work wonders when it comes to debate, don't they?

good post. and i agree with your assessment right now. i have problems with ab as our starting pg (of the bench, though, he's a good player), but i also think lawry can be a decent start pg for us in the future to come - if we can't get a star caliber pg.

assuming mcgrady is done in a sense of being a star, our big need this summer will be at the 2 or 3, i.e. a quality wing man.

No possible way Adelman changes his lineup before the Playoffs. I don't see that happening at all.
