Hey Guys, I'm Vietnamese and my boss assumes all asian people speak Chinese. He asked me to translate this but of course I have no idea. Any Chinese speakers? 我爱我的安徒生汉语
I love my Anderson Chinese (I assume Anderson Chinese is an institute that teaches Chinese) I could be wrong ....
我爱我的安徒生汉语 is somewhat awkward. Literally translated: I love my Andersen Chinese. "安徒生" is subject to interpretation because it has no Chinese meaning. My best guess is that it's derived from the last name of Hans Christian Andersen, the 19th-century Danish author of many popular fairy tales (best known as 安徒生童话 in China).
LOL ... but it's safe to say not all Chinese-speaking posters share fmvllegen's love of bastardization of pinyin.
Stereotipical/Racist/Prejudiced obligatory anecdote from a Mexican person that is in no way intended to offend: Spoiler Almost everyone--but really mostly Mexicans like me--who speaks Spanish from anywhere south of the border calls all Asian people "Chinos" or "Chinito" (diminutive version)... 'cuz... that's like, the biggest Asian country... so we auto-magically think anyone (yes, including Fujimori from South America) is Chinese... sorry... I just had to say that... but I swear to G, I mean nothing BAD by that. I have forever told this to fellow coworkers I hang out with who are from Japan, Vietnam, etc., and they haven't gotten offended so far... also... AM I GOING TO H-E-double-hockey-sticks for that?
I think if you keep saying H-E-double-hockey-sticks you will. Just say HELL cabron, thats where youll be selling Chiclets at laters anyway. I said laters.
