Good luck, man. Hopefully the weather isn't too brutal.

I hope to participate someday. I don't actually own a bicycle yet, but I've been taking a brutal spinning class 2X a week this semester and can't believe how much I love feeling the rush after cycling. I really want to buy a bike this summer and hit up Memorial Park. Good luck in the MS150! There's a couple people in my class participating. Should be a lot of fun this year.

I considered doing this but I didn't think I would have endurance to do it so I have a couple of co-workers doing that as well.

My brother rides for the St. Arnold's team. I'll be in La Grange early tomorrow to set up camp for him and to take advantage of the free St. Arnold's.

This is all assuming you guys get to ride. It's not looking pretty tomorrow. I think La Grange is expecting 3"-5" between today and tomorrow. I've been in the Fairgrounds after a rain. It's a huge mess.

I've ridden it four times in the past (around 2000 - 20033) and it's a lot of fun when the weather is nice....

They have many training rides in the months leading up to it. Start slowly and build up your endurance. By the time you get to race week, you should be able to ride 80+ miles at a time. My brother usually starts training for the next one in October.

I couldn't get a spot this year, so I'm riding in the Fiesta Wildflower ride in San Antonio. I like to think of it as the MS150 reject ride. Except its only 100.

Good Luck this weekend man, ride safe. With 13,000 people on the road there are bound to be some accidents.

I'd like to do it someday, but I've got too many other things going on in my life right now to do it.

I am kind of a wuss. I haven't rode a bike in a long time.

How does he do the training? Riding his bike or a machine bike everyday?

I'm on the St. Arnolds team too.

I really hope the weather doesn't crap all over us :(

Aw dude, most of the events leading up to the MS150 are on Saturday and Sunday mornings. You'll be done riding by noon depending on distance.

He has one of those contraptions to put his bike on to ride indoors. He does that while playing X-Box. I think he goes to spinning classes, too. Once it gets into January, you want to be looking for the weekend morning rides.

Whatever you do, don't do it unprepared. A friend of ours did that one year and it was horrible. She was on the lag van most of the way. If you're not riding somewhere between 70-90 miles in one shot, don't do it.
