I will also continue watch because of Aziz Ansari, his lines were for the most part hilarious. I do hope they continue to perpetuate the stereotypes about Indiana (Bob Knight shrines, etc) This show has potential...
It almost always takes a few episodes to know whether to keep going or not (at least for me). I remember disliking the first few episodes of US version of "The Office" (especially the first one). By episode six, they had won me over. Same thing here. Wasn't great, but certainly wasn't terrible. We'll see what the next few episodes bring.
I tried to make it through the episode last night -- unfortunately I had to change the channel. I suspect there were many others who did the same.
Didn't get home in time to check out the first episode but I'm gonna see if Hulu has it up yet or not.
The Loudon Wainwright III part was my favorite. Both parts, but especially, "I have some things to say about Laura Linney ..."
Man, I really liked it. If anyone's seen the Christopher Guest/Eugene Levy movies Waiting for Guffman or Best in Show, two of my all-time favorites, this show reminds me of those. I'm pretty excited about this.
Ouch, this show is so bad it hurts.. It's too close to being an Office clone for me and Amy Poehler isnt being used the best way possible IMO.. I'll give it two more episodes to grow on me.. D-
Aziz is the best thing of this show and it's like he's being held back. Anyone who has seen his other work knows that.
I totally agree, he was Awesome in Human Giant.. <object width="480" height="400" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" id="ordie_player_660e251a87"><param name="movie" value="http://player.ordienetworks.com/flash/fodplayer.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="key=660e251a87" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed width="480" height="400" flashvars="key=660e251a87" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" quality="high" src="http://player.ordienetworks.com/flash/fodplayer.swf" name="ordie_player_660e251a87" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object><div style="text-align:left;font-size:x-small;margin-top:0;width:480px;"><a href="http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/660e251a87/human-giant-catching-a-predator-from-human-giant" title="from Human Giant and Tom Gianas">Human Giant: Catching a Predator</a> from <a href="http://www.funnyordie.com/tom_gianas">Tom Gianas</a></div>
i'm with moes.. there were maybe 2 funny lines. wish i could remember, but the only one i remember laughing at was from tom (as expected)
Ya i agree..Tonight really went downhill...I cant really remember a show that had that big of a drop from pilot to first episode..I'll give it a couple more weeks tho...See how it progresses I guess..
I just watched the first two episodes back to back. I actually laughed more during the second one. I think it'll take some time for us to get familiar with the characters. So far Aziz's character is really funny. But my favorite character is the Boss guy with the mustache. See, we don't even know the character's names yet!
