With the rockets playing the Blazers in the first round that can only mean one thing.

Time for the Chuckwagon to do his thing!

Based on what I have seen, RA's rotation is going to be short, 8 at most. Lowry is a lock. So it's Wafer, Landry and Chuck for the other two IMO. That means one of them wont see many minutes. Since Wafer is the only win back up, it comes down to Chuck and Landry. If Chuck gets more min, that means Landry won't be playing much, which suck.

After last night, I would say let Scola start and then take him out early... really early.

Though Chuck getting to play is just about the only silver lining that came out of last nights debacle.

I truly believe if Scola had been taken out earlier last night we would have won that game... but that's just an opinion based on the fact that when he isn't scoring he's no asset on the court.

Water under the bridge of course but I am still irritated with him.

Chuck Wagon you say huh. Lets see

    Yao
    Scola
    Battier
    Artest
    Brooks

Thats our starting 5 right there. Now considering its playoffs and all the rotations are shorten compared to the season. So the guys coming off the bench would be.

    Landry
    Lowry
    Wafer, Barry, Hayes, Mutombo????

Who is going to be the 8th guy? I think Hayes will get situational minutes just incase Scola or Landry can't guard LaMarcus Aldridge. We may even see Mutombo because they have Oden and Przybilla.

there's not way landry wont be playing much, he's been the most consistent guy for us next to scola. I dont think Adelman will stick to a certain number, the blazers have too much talent in different ways and we're going to need a lot of guys.

    Yao/Deke
    Scola/Landry/chuck
    shane
    Ron/Von
    Brooks/Lowry

    all should get minutes consistently.

Like I said long time ago, Chuck is going to be valuable in the playoffs and it will be up to RA to realize that, too bad he hasn't , what an idiot

As far as i know, the blazers dont have Dirk. Scola has actually played well against the blazers in all 3 games this season, averaging about 15 a game with a really good %.

Rick will have to show flexibility like you said or it will be a short series in Portland's favor. JVG was stubborn but Rick is no less stubborn in his own ways.

good things always happen when chuck's in the game, maybe he shouldnt be in there all game because of the offense, but he's the one guy you need to get in there pronto when the other team start scoring, even if he wont be guarding the man who's hot, he still has a significant impact with his help D and ability to draw off fouls.

Wow, I don't think you can jump to such a conclusion as RA does face a legitimate minutes crunch.

But I agree with this thread. Hayes is Aldridge's worst nightmare in ways Scola and Landry aren't close to. As for last night, the Mavs seem to be a bad matchup for Scola (and he just kind of had an off-night) and more Hayes (and Landry) would have been great.

That's why I said at the end of my post that I'm still irritated with him.

The guy steps up on the international stage in big games. I never expected him to choke in the NBA big games.

also, looking at the 3 matchups this season, chuck is averging about 22 mins a game.

i wouldnt say he choked, he has a really bad matchup, it happens, more credit needs to be given to Dirk's abilities, he's not an easy matchup for a lot of teams.

Its RA's fault for not knowing that Scola always plays like **** vs the Mavs, so why give him that many mins, Scola will play better vs Blazers, but Aldridge can light it up and get huge numbers thats when you cant take forever to sub in Chuck

aldridge has been playing very well, he's had solid games against us all 3 games, chuck definitely should be in there, but it's not going to be a dirk situation all over gain, aldridge isn't that good of a shooter and he's going to post up more, which doesn't put scola at a disadvantage as much as with dirk. Our offense is a bigger issue, Yao only took like 12 shots a game, and he didnt have any big games against Portland even with Przybilla and oden on him. That needs to change in a BIG way.

when there's viable options off the bench in lowry, hayes, and landry, the chain needs to be short with brooks and scola.
