I am awake .. I just choose not to Overreact to the result of one game. The reason I hate Mark Cuban is that he whines and cries about everything that does not go his teams way (sound familiar?). I will be upset at the end of the season if we have not advanced in the playoffs but i justed checked and the sky is not falling.

Exactly. Did the 94/95 championship team have such glaring weaknesses? It's hard to get hyped up when you have insight and can guess what's going to happen.

Sigh, the way of settling for the playoffs is full of drama.

The last straw for the Rockets to get a homecourt advantage is to pray for the win of the Nuggets. Dman... :(

There's about 10 Rockets-bashing threads here in the garm now, and you want to piss on a happiness thread? Bad form.

The only person in the world I'm really angry with is Craig Ackerman though. That guy can't watch and call a game at the same time. Pathetic.

We needed the game tonight like we needed to win a game 7.

Houston fans have a lot of bandwagoner. When the Rockets win they cheer, but when they lose people talk about trades.

you're still soundly asleep.. i'm afraid.. if you think this was all about one game.. that their shrinking away from high pressured contention has only happened once this year.. hell.. it's been years now.. there-in lies.. the problem.. the reason for the crying out for the blind to open their eyes.. because they still yet.. have not overcome themselves.. after all this time.. and all this roster tweaking.. all this supposed improvement.. when the pressure hits.. they've maintained that pattern..

    Really? ... Really?

You can tell me that this team doesn't have heart or desire?

    Scola doesn't care?

Landry does not play his heart out?

Artest would not kill someone to win a game?

Wafer doesn't bring anything off the bench?

The heart/desire argument is one that was true in the past, but not now.

Remember how pumped/confident we were with our team YESTERDAY with a sample of 81 games to look at?

One... One... ONE game later everyone is jumping off the deep end.

What is this whole Houston not passing the first round thing. The goal is to win it all not just to get passed the first round then why go into the playoffs in the first place. Just does not make sense. Oh, and I'm well aware we have not got past the second round since '97.

you misconstrue my meaning of the word heart.. to have heart for me.. is to be able to withstand the pressures of a continuous challenge.. without stupidity and recklessness induced by panic.. fear.. and dread.. of said challenging not ceasing even though i've managed a 14pt lead.. to endure such trials never retreating to a psychological comfort zone.. to where i can finally relax in.. thinking it enough to end it.. to fight and fight and fight.. with your head on straight.. and sight focused..

running around like chickens with their heads cut off.. chucking up shot after rushed misguided shot.. and "executing" plays.. the likes of "oh my god! oh my god! what do we do??!?!"

is not what i call heart..

    Well said my friend!

I say let the bandwagoners jump ship right now, saves up some well needed elbow room for the ones that have been camped out up here for years! :D

to hell with the mavs.. no teams i despise more than them and the Jazz.. why is it you people can't seem to find it feasible.. that one can be objective and see things for what they are.. and exclaim them so as obvious self-induced failings of this team.. without being a risk to your loyal fandom..?

open your eyes to what this team is showing you in tight games against teams that won't go away at the sign of a double digit near blowout defecit.. when the pressure is really on..

it's a trend of theirs.. they've had it for years.. why do fans like yourself insist on overlooking it and thinking "tomorrow miraculously it will all change for the better! :) yay:"

i mean honestly.. it's unbearably irritating..

    Af***ingMen..

this is what i learned about some rockets fans in these 2-3 months i joined: when we win one game, everyone thinks we are going to win the championship, we lose one game, everyone thinks we shouldd quit, and trade every player on the roster....
