I think we totally screwed ourselves with this loss. Lets get that out of the way.

Why can't we do this when Yao becomes ineffective...

Can we put Deke in? Have him play center, move Artest to the 4, put Landry at the 3, Wafer at 2 and Lowry at one? Or maybe Deke, Artest, Landry, Barry, Lowry? SOMETHING!!!!!!

Obviously, Yao can't handle the fronting. So, lets play suffocating defense and have Wafer (who can create his own shot) or Lowry (who is fearless to the basket) or Barry (who is a supposed 3pt shooter) carry the team for a bit? Can we just not go into a COMPLETE **** fall?

    This loss was an EMBARRASSMENT!

But tell me. Is this possible at all?

well nothing we can do about it now...i actually like this scenario.

if we can take portland we have to face lakers...but...

they will just be getting out of an extremely physical series and lets face it they will have more fatigue than usual.

what better time to match up against the lakers than the 2nd round?

I think Battier, Wafer, Deke, Lowry and Landry would do well.

I agree. What's the point of having Yao in there running around and wasting his energy if he's not being utilized on offense? Deke can play defense as well as Yao, if the team can't get/won't give Yao the ball, just put Deke in there.

Deke can't play long time every night. We should serious think some way to solve the fronting Yao problem. I suggest the guard and power forward try some pick and roll at the strong side when Yao is fronted. Our guard can attack the basket, pass the ball to the power forward or the open shoot. If they miss, Yao is in the position for rebounding.
