It's very unfortunate that the Rockets are not able to win a divison, and even lose a first round home court advantage. But it's all about the match-up in playoffs. Most of the people would pick Portland has the best chance to beat Los Angeles, I do think the Rockets have the best chance to beat Blazers.

We got Shane Battier and Ron Artest to take on Brandon Roy, and most importantly Blazers' big men are not able or will not front Yao Ming!!! We just need to take one game from home court, and then we will be fine...... hopefully.........

I was thinking the same thing... The main thing lost tonight was a good chance for the Western conference finals

They do front yao with aldridge when they can. Every team is going to front Yao from here on out.

im confident we can beat the blazers. its too bad that we're going to eliminate them since they are the only team that can defeat the lakers.

Nuggets still playing starters so hopefully they'll win that gives us home court. Blazers with HCA might spell another 1st round exit

they don't usually put aldridge on Yao, Prazllya and Oden will be taking turns on Yao, and they play behind Yao

After tonight's game....they will now (knowing how the rockets completely cave when they front him).

Yeah, Portland, like the other 29 teams in the league, watch tape. We will be even more scrutinized now, with at least 4 games with the same opponent.

It takes a quicker player to front Yao. Pryz and Oden cannot front Yao and they are the Blazers center rotation. They do front Yao if they move their 4's (Aldridge and Frye) up and play small ball.

Any coach with common sense would front Yao and watch our offense go no where.

Exactly, the Blazers have the best chance (in the Western Conference) of beating the Lakers, and we're going to have to knock them out before they even get a chance to.

I imagine Portland is watching the Rockets/Mavs game-tape with great interest. You can count on them at least making an effort to front Yao.

LOL , at you for thinking they won't front Yao, guaranteed they will do it in the 4th, the portland fans are all over their boards saying Front Yao and it will be a sweep for them.

Portland would be stupid not to try it in this series. Everyone has been doing some die hard scouting the past few days.

this panic about fronting is getting on my nerves. Expecting a young inexperienced team to have the discipline on defense to front Yao on every position is ridiculous. How is Portlands "defense" just going to change from no D to crushing fronting D that will deny Yao the ball at every stop? Give me a break! People act like Portland is going to become the Spurs overnight.

OUR D will stop the Blazers PERIOD.

Yeah pretty sure they will front Yao. It is the playoffs people look to exploit your weakness.

After last night's game, they would do a serious disservice to themselves if they didn't front Yao. If not from the beginning of the game, at least beginning mid-way through the third quarter.

We will see what they'll do soon.

Portland fronted Yao in the April 5th game with Aldridge and the Rockets did fine. Yao had 21 pts and 12 rebs, 6 offensive. But that was the game where Adelman called out the team for not being in the right spots despite constant practice time on dealing with the fronting.
