It would be sort of cool to go to Cuba while it still retains some vestiges of Communism. Has anybody gone? Can you suggest a good 5 to 7 day intinerary?

I was about to go while I was in Toronto for work last year. Air Canada had a few daily nonstops to Havana, but I never got around to it, regrettably. What route are you taking to get there?

Is this guy glynch like a radical marxist or something? He sure does seem like one judging by his postings in the debate forum.

And now looking to travel to Cuba? Too easy :D

i am assuming you are a U.S. citizen. you shouldnt advertise that you are going to cuba. you never know who is reading your posts. cancun is the best intermediary to go through. bring tons of cash. be able to speak a functional amount of spanish.

    day 1 = havana
    day 2-3 = vinales (private taxi $40-80)
    day 4 = havana (private taxi $40-100)
    day 5 = trinidad (private taxi $50-140)
    day 6 = cienfuegos (private taxi $20-40)
    day 7 = havana (private taxi $40-120)

all inter-city travel is on the viazul bus line or find 2-3 other people and bargain for a private taxi. the viazul bus sells out quite often unless you buy tickets 1-2 days ahead. dont stay in hotels or resorts. stay in casa particulares ($20-30). its cheaper and the food is the best you will find in cuba. and bargain, bargain, bargain. EVERYONE will try to scam the hell out of you.
