Yao is demanding the ball and getting better position than normal...

 

I agree that Yao has to demand the ball more, but Ron does tend to think it's responsibility to take over a game by himself on occasion.

Its going to be because no one the rockets will play now will have someone big enough, or tall enough who can really stop him AND be useful at all on the offensive end. (except duncan, but he's hurt, kinda)

 

Not only that Mavs also has Terry who always goes off against us, while Hornets are missing or have an injured Chandler. Against the Hornets, we only have to worry against CP3 and West, while against the Mavs quite a lot of players can go off against us. Plus,Carlisle is a much, much better coach than Scott

 

Hope that Luis and Carl can do better as well.

 

I think Yao read the espn mvp ranking before the game.

And can someone explain me what exactly '' fronting ''. Just forgive my ignorance .

 

I agree, Ron only goes into Berserk mode when no one is leading the charge.

One thing about Yao is he is making very quick decisions and post moves, no dribbling the ball for eternity uncertain of what he wants to do. he gets into trouble when he thinks too much and tries to play BB like a chess game.

yes, hopefully they give up the fronting defense (though it was working in the rocket favor) and go to a hard trap. probably won't wait for him to dribble the ball like most do. the double will come when he catches the ball.

hopefully the shooters hit their shots. if carlisle goes with the front exclusively for the rest of the game then i want to see wafer go nuts on the drive.

 

When the defensive player guards the offensive player in front, rather than behind him, basically to cut off the easy entry pass.

 

yao with 15 shot attempts in the first half! thats more than get has gotten in entire games this season, and im diggin it

I think weak side screens will kill fronting.

 

It's RA's fault. He should always keep it in his mind that when Yao is fronted while moving from one side from the other side, the ball must be passed to Yao, otherwise, Yao's advantages will be wasted at least 20%.

 

2nd half will be a big test for the Rockets.

Yao will more than likely get fronted. I'm wondering if we can beat it.
