Yao had something like 33/16/5 in the game 7 blew out loss to Dallas,
and Yao scored 20+ points in 2nd half agains Utah in game 7 too.

But it takes 5 to win.

Hornets I think. Mavs have shot-makers, whereas the Hornets are kindve limited in their offense vs a good defensive team.

Artest isn't dumb. He knows when it's time to pass the ball, especially at a crucial game like this. He wants to win. We'll be all right.

We just need to win, as long as we do we'll get a favorable matchup, SA, portland and NO are mmore favorable than Dallas, if we lose, Dallas gets the 6th and a possible meeting with us.

But remember, Ron is the bulimic beast. He feeds himself, . . . then throws up, a horrible shot.

Mavs are more dangerous than Hornets.

David West is scrubby; he won't light up Scola/Hayes. Chris Paul can drop 40/15 on us but his team will still lose.

Terry and JHo can get hot; Dirk is a shooter, much harder to shut down.

Yep, Hornets lack of any type of bench is going to hurt them.

When you have one solid reliable guy coming off the bench...you'll be lucky to get out of the first round.

I'd rather get the Hornets but I don't care anymore. Jazz are playing the Lakers so I think we should beat WHOEVER we get. Pretty sure that will be the expectations, if we get homecourt.

Yao is not "elevating" his game. He is what he is. Houston is making a concerted effort to get him the ball, Dallas isn't doubling, and he's doing what he would do every time.

Exactly. That is one the true thing that kills a fronting defense. When a player drives, like you said, there's no help defense..and if the player misses the layup, Yao has the position for the offensive rebound. Now whether he catches it is another issue.

I disagree. If Yao demands the ball and plays dominant like this every night, Ron would have ZERO problem giving up the rock. I hope this is playoff Yao...

This is what I've always said about Yao, offensively he's like steve francis. When I say that, I mean when he makes up his mind one way or the other, he's really good. When yao has in his mind to score or shoot, he's very, very good. When he has to think about what he's going to do, bad things happen.

Earlier a lot of people wanted yao to open the offense by shooting the mid range jumper. His success rate wasn't high , but I thought it wasn't a matter of if he could knock down that shot, it was more of not thinking about it and letting it fly. There is no way a guy with his touch from free throw line can't his that shotg. Over the last couple of weeks, he's shooting it with confidence. If he continues to shoot it and make it, this offense will open as wide as a hookers you know what. I hope he keeps shooting it cause its really a good shot for him and its saves all the banging all game long.

True. Except Yao decided to take on double teams too instead of passing out all the time.

Carlisle is going to have to come out with a hard trap on Yao and try to get him to cough up the ball in the 2nd half. Its the only thing he can do, he can't let Yao burn him all night. The open man is going to have to make their shots.
