Mavs 30-9 at home, we are 20-20 on the road. Do you think we would be favored to win a seven game series with Dallas if all 7 games were in Dallas? Then why would we be favored in just one game there?
I hope when the Rockets pound the Mavs on Wednesday, you get the idea of how good this team really is.
alot of people here dont understand how vegas works. i havent seen the lines yet but it would not really surprise me if the home team - dallas - is favored. in a game that features two teams that are not THAT far apart in record - the home game is usually favored. thats all it means when people are saying that the rockets would not be favored. i think the rockets will win and of course hope they do, but that is different from betting favorites and underdogs. i know those terms have certain connotations, but keep that in mind before you jump on someone for being a 'hater' if they suggest the mavs might be favorites. jeez.
Judging by this comment I did miss something, sorry. There's not even a chance of the Mavs having homecourt against the Rockets. I'll have to re-read and catch what I missed later, as I gotta run.
I know how Vegas works, I bet everyday on sports games. I'm still pretty confident we will be favored, obviously not by much, you explained that already with all the home stuff plus how hot they have been. Favored or not, it still should be an easy game for us. That's what I've been trying to say, they shouldn't pose a problem for us.
We may win the game, but you're just plain ignorant if you don't think the Mavs will pose a problem for us. Washington posed a problem for us in our own building.
Hmm.. Washington? What? 1) The team that played Washington was different than the team that is here today. I don't believe Lowry was even on that team. The Chemistry has gone up since that game. The most important thing to know is that this team today is not the same team it was earlier in the season. 2) Just because Washington poses a problem to us doesn't mean a better team like the Mavs will... that's just bad logic right there. Posing problems has to do with match ups. 3) I think the Mavs won't pose a problem for us because we have a guy that can defend Dirk, I think our 2 PG can cause problems for Kidd. Last meeting, Barea hurt us, but that was due to Brooks' horrid defense. I think Brooks has learned since that game. Dallas isn't the same team it was 2 years ago, it's an older team with less depth.
Well, then you are officially out of your mind. I would have no problem with you saying that the Rockets are going to win tonight, but to say the game will not even be a problem for us is a joke. Your 2nd point is laughable. Re-read that a couple times and tell me you are not laughing. Anything can happen in the NBA and Washington is capable of beating us in our own building just like Dallas is in theirs. Another problem you have is assuming too many things. Just because we have a guy that can defend Dirk doesn't mean he can't go off in any given game. Yes, our PG's can cause problems for Kidd, but he and Terry can't do the same to us?? Brooks has learned alot since the last game against Dallas?? What makes you say that? Is it his stellar defensive play these last couple months?
That's fine if you don't agree with my opinions, but don't make it into a laughing matter and then tell me to laugh about it. I stand by what I said, we have our opinions.
I hope more people understand this logic now. If Dallas beats New Orleans on Sunday, we are the 2 seed right now. PERIOD!!
this makes no sense. both teams are behind the rockets in the standings. how does dallas having one more win, or new orleans one more loss have anything to do with the rockets catching the nuggets?
