sure, if we are blowing them out they'll put the starters on the pine. i would love to get them to quit early so we could rest our guys as well. damn i can't wait, this sucks.

    They should, but probably won't.

From what I saw their game on monday, they looked very tired. They had a good run recently, but it seems they have peaked already. I think the rockets have a good chance to win tonight.

I don't think they rest and they'll try to win. But, I don't seem them trying as hard as the Rockets. Mavs gain a bit by winning. We gain a whole lot by winning.

Josh Howard only shows up for the first quarter or first half.

Actually Mavs gain alot by winning. They'd avoid Denver who swept them in regular season.

The Mavs fans I hear from say they want no part of Denver, and will try to win to avoid that mathup, apparently Denver swept em.

Then why would Houston try to avoid Utah? They even split the regular season.

I wasn't talking about us "blowing them out", I was talking about this being a slugfest and the Dallas coaches thinking "who needs this right now?".

    It seems plausible to me.

There is no way Dallas rests their starters. If they win:

    - they most likely avoid a potential match-up with the Nuggets, who swept them this year

    - they could possibly match-up with the Spurs, who nobody is scared of since Ginobili is out

    - they are at home, and fans who paid money to see the game would be pissed if the stars didn't play (much like LA last night)

    - they hate us, and would love nothing more than screw up our dreams of avoiding the Lakers until the WCF

    - they're the Mavpricks....since when do they do anything to help Houston?

I think they can not afford resting somebody and beaten by us in a Home game

let's help them by tagging everybody with two fouls in two minutes though

The Mavs will come at us hard all night as long as it is close.

I don't see them resting their starters until the game is completely out of reach.

    They want a 9th straight, 50-win season.

I sure hope so. I'm in my fantasy bball league final and my opponent has both Dirk and Terry on his team.

Houston wasn't trying to avoid Utah, a couple of fans on a message board wanted Houston to avoid Utah. Big difference.
