Based on this, i'd like to make more clear We win - Den win - 3# vs. Hornets - Den lose - 2# vs. Mavs We lose - Hornets win - 3# vs. Hornets - Hornets lose - Den win - 4# vs. BLZ - Den lose - 5# vs. SAS
2nd round here we come!!! "its good to be into the 2nd round" --Tracy McGrady At last, we are into the second round!!! WCF--- Lakers vs Rockets!
If Hou, Den, SA win: 3rd seed, playing Hornets If Hou, Den, NO win: 3rd seed, playing Hornets If Hou, Por, SA win: 2nd seed, playing Mavs If Hou, Por, NO win: 2nd seed, playing Mavs If Dal, Den, SA win: 4th seed, playing Blazers If Dal, Den, NO win: 3rd seed, playing Hornets If Dal, Por, NO win: 3rd seed, playing Hornets all these are good but dallas is a tougher opponent than NO right now. 4th seed against blazers is good too except you get to see the lakers earlier.
When you take care of your own business things will fall into place. That's why you don't tank. We still can't take the first round for granted...we don't exactly have a great track record.
Who knows...maybe we can hit them in the Western Conference Finals. Crazier things have happend. After we win a couple of rounds and get that monkey off our backs I wouldn't mind facing them at all...
HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!! Take it, you floppers!!! I'm so glad we won't face them...it would be awesome if we beat them in 1st round but I'll let the Lakers do the dirty job.
That's not true. There's at least a 50% chance we finish 4th or 5th, meaning we plays the Lakers in the second round.
I am thankful that Utah is locked in at number 8 not because we don't have to play them in the first round, but rather because they get to beat up on the Lakers in their series. Don't get me wrong, Lakers will win the series, and have a good chance to sweep, but we all know how physical Utah is, and it helps everybody else when the Lakers advance to the second round a little bruised and battered.
I like that only for the sake of seeing the Rockets playing someone else other than the Jazz only because it's gotten rather old for the past two postseasons. We have to remember one thing, the Rockets have won just two playoff series against the Jazz out of the seven series all time. What do those two series wins against the Jazz have in common? They were both on the years the Rockets went on to win the championship (1994 and 1995). Therefore, this upcoming postseason, if the Rockets were to have to get by the Jazz in a playoff series, and did, then all I would be thinking is just maybe, they'll win the championship here in 2009. But now, with the Jazz having to play the Lakers in the opening round this postseason, it's unlikely the Rockets will see them at all. As far as the door being opened up for the Rockets to get to the NBA finals is concerned due to the unlikelihood of seeing the Jazz at some point, IMO, it doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things because the Lakers are the team they will have to get by at some point, and from what I've seen this season, this Rocket team hasn't proven to me that they have an answer for the Lakers. If this Rocket team was made up like the 1986 team, then I would like their chances a lot better.
