Doesn't matter. We can take Den in 6 even without hca.

Of course you root for Portland. If they beat Denver and we beat Dallas we would have home court in the first two rounds.

    Me neither, man.

This board is apparently full of scaredy cats who believe we can only win by avoiding the top competition.

    I WANT the top competition.

I don't want an asterisk by our championship.

And if we're not the best team yet and we don't win out, so be it.

The best team should win. If it's not us, let's improve next year.

I don't want to win by the luck of the draw. I want to win by pure grit and performance. And I think we have a shot at that. So I can't imagine why anyone would wish for any kind of easy way out.

Meanwhile, of course I'm rooting for Portland. If we have a shot at number two, of course we want to take it.

i think if we lose tmw and SAS wins then we are 5th and will be playing SAS w/o home adv no matter POR wins or not tomorrow. hence we must win dallas.

if im right..check the numbers agian

rox be 3rd better than 2th : portland lose and play spurs 1st round, then if win they have chance to beat laker.

Are we really scared of the Ponies? I'll say that NO is definitely best for us match-up wise, but still. I'll definitely take potential HCA against the Nuggets over being a p***y and avoiding Dallas.

jason terry is lickin his chops right now....

im not scared of dallas. BUT i hope we play nola. the 2 seed is not that big of a deal to me if we can get 3. yeah, potentially we would be playing denver away on the road in round 2. but then again, the mavs could beat denver and we would have hca in round 2 anywys

I don't want to look too ahead, but let's be honest here. We SHOULD be able to beat either the Hornets or the Mavs in the playoffs. What I really want is homecourt in the 2ND round if Denver does in fact advance. That would be huge for the Rockets.

Is there an asterisk next to the 94 Rockets since they didn't play the Sonics, is there an asterisk next to the Bulls 6 rings sincey they didn't play the Rockets, people still don't get it, its about matchups , this is no playoff system where every team plays every team in a series

Denver. We would play against Hornets in that case. On the other hand, nuggets will face mavs and they beat mavs with 4-0 this season. Then we may kill Denver at the 2nd round, nice! ;)

Come on guys. I never said we had to tank and game to avoid Dallas. I just ask your honest opinion of what is going to be the best scenario for the Rockets.
