Spec's sandwiches are the bomb diggity. Fatty don't lie. Potbelly has this ice cream cookie sandwich that is freaking ridiculous...
Firehouse subs has the best italian sandwich ive ever had. i like how their bread is softer than the rest of the chains. I've gotten almost all the subs from firehouse and they're delicious.
make man a sandwich and you can sell it to him for 7 dollars. Teach man to buy french bread at fiesta and ham at michoacana's, you kill the food market. I like Katz and their reuben sandwich or taqueria arandas for mexican sandwiches, very inexpensive. Also, panera bread is just legen...wait for it...dary. (free refills on coffee too, a different blend every time)
dude get a vietnamese sandwich. you'll be hooked http://local.yahoo.com/results?stx=vietnamese+sandwich&csz=Houston,+TX
I think Jimmy John's is terrible. It isn't any better than subway imo. I havn't been to the Firehouse place yet, but my favorite chain place is Quizno's for sure
I've been dying to try one of these, but I can't find a place near Upper Kirby/Montrose/Midtown that makes one.
Antone's Super Original has always been my favorite. I just tried it toasted the other week....even better!
Why is Jimmy John's bread so good? I got the gourmet vegetarian sandwich there without mayo or cheese and the bread was so tasty that I didn't miss it. Of course there are avocados on it as well, so that added some fat...overall it was perfection. Much better than the veggie delight at Subway. I reeeaally need to try that Veggie sandwich at Spec's. Oh btw, Fatty, we tried the falafel at Zabak's...that is some damn good falafel.
That Italian Combo at Panera is the lick! Italian Combo Roast beef, smoked turkey, ham, salami, Swiss cheese, peperoncini, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions & our special sauce, on Ciabatta.
Check the link you replied to, Fatty, as rimbaud notes Cali Sandwich on Travis or Les Givral's on Milam.
Honestly, my house...I make the best sandwiches...I only eat at other places for the convenience... My preference is to use Honey Baked Ham & Turkey, cheese, with light mayo, mustard, jalapenos, tomatoes and peper...sounds simple, but its good...
