It goes back more than 20 years when David Stern sat nervously in the waiting room of CCTV, trying to bargain a deal of showing NBA in China

It took China more than 10 years to actually send a player to regular season (couple of guys tried before Zhizhi Wang)
3 more years to contribute a #1 draft pick
then 1 more years for a ring (Monke Bater with the 2003 Spurs...sigh, not even in playoff roster)
