Let's say Houston beats Dallas and the Spurs beat the Warriors and Hornets. We're tied but Rockets win tiebreak.

Let's say Houston beats Dallas and the Spurs lose to either Golden State or the Hornets. We have a better record and win the division.

Let's say Houston loses to Dallas and the Spurs lose tonight but beat the Hornets. We're tied but the Spurs win the tiebreak.

Let's say Houston loses to Dallas and the Spurs win tonight but lose to the Hornets. We're tied and we win the tiebreak.

If the Spurs lose to the Hornets, we win the division no matter what. If they beat the Hornets, a loss to Golden State doesn't change anything. We'd still have to beat Dallas to win the division. If they lose to the Warriors but beat the Hornets and we lose to Dallas, then the Spurs win the division.

I watched the entire 4th quarter of the Nuggets game. The crowd was chanting J.R. for the last few minutes.

Smith hit a floating 3 with a defender right in his face from a few feet beyond the arc to break the Nuggets record for 3s in a game. It was a horrible shot. The kind you take when you need a 3 with 1 second left in the game but there was still plenty of time left.

Every play for the last few minutes was Smith for 3. Garcia was doing everything he could do to keep him from making another one. They fouled him a couple times and he still almost made those shots. His last attempt was from a few feet over half court with Garcia in his face and he almost made that one too.

Incredible individual performance but there were some ridiculous shot selections when it was about a 10 point game with 2 or 3 minutes remaining.

If we win our last game and the Spurs win tonight and against NOH, we will both have the same overall record, the same conference record and the same division record. We already went 2-2 against them H2H so that tiebreaker doesn't change anything. It will go to the 5th tiebreaker which is record against other WC playoff teams. We've already clinched that tiebreaker. I don't know the exact numbers but we won it.

After tonight's win over New Orleans, we have the exact same division record as the Spurs (9-6). That sends it to the next tiebreak which is record against conference playoff teams where the Rockets are comfortably ahead. If the Rockets and Spurs end the regular season tied, the ONLY way the Spurs can win the tiebreak is if we lose to the Mavericks and San Antonio beats the Hornets. That would give the Spurs a better division record. But if we both win or both lose on Wednesday and we end the regular season tied, the Rockets will win the tiebreak.

Yep, if we win against Dallas the division is ours and so is the 3rd seed.

Any way, I think we pissed NOH off tonight so that helps.

Congratulations from me, as well. I don't hate Denver like I do Utah and a couple of other teams.

    Not yet. ;)
