JVG doesn't think so. I like the way he thinks.

You're saying you need my vote. I'm saying you can't have it.

Honestly, I don't see how you can keep him out. If all those Celtics from the 1950's and 1960's got in just because they were on multiple championship teams, Pippen should get in easily. However, his plaque should be a little smaller and just below Jordan's.

Do you mean will he, or would I vote for him?

He will be in the HOF.

I would never vote for him though. He was a good player for a lot of years, but he isn't deserving of being called one of the all-time greats in my opinion.

I'll have to consult the rule book, but I'm gonna guess a yes.

In other news, Yao Ming has also been banned from Clutchfans.

Pippen actually had his career high in minutes per game with the ROCKETS. Yet he attempted 4 less shots a game in that strike SHORTENED season. He played more and quit more at the same time. Quite a feat.

Everyone's on Reggie Miller to get in, who I consider a marginal Hall of Famer of that era. Therefore Pippen qualifies.

6 rings plus GREAT numbers = HOF. You really don't have to argue much further than that.

He still sucks donkey balls though.

He spent the season sulking and playing half-assed because he wasn't the focal point of the offense. Then he failed to show up in a first round series against the Lakers. After the season was over, he threw Charles Barkley under the bus and demanded a trade.

To answer the original question, yes I think Pippen is undoubtedly a HOFer. He put up very good numbers, played great defense and was the second best player on six championship teams.

Um, he sucks. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Pippen choke in the 99 playoffs. I guess it's pretty serious.

Except for when he was dribbling the ball off his leg. :(

if he would have retired after being with the bulls i think there is no doubt he would be in the HOF but his years after the bulls were very lackluster esp. the season the little weiner was here!!!! if youve been a rockets fan for a while you remember scotty throwing charles barkley under the bus after we lost to the lakers even though it was pippens turnover at the end of the game that ultimately sealed our fate

He is one of the top 5 forwards of all time at his position, and played both ends of the court probably better than 99% of players who have ever played the game.

He is a lock, it makes me question JVG's basketball savvy to even bring this up as somehow 'controversial'. He REALLY must be drinking that kool-aid in Houston.

So yes, hate him, but he is a lock.

How does one ride Jordan's coattails, when MJ has never been out of the 1st round without you and you have been to the WCF and almost made it to the ECF without him?

Sometimes folks really underrate just how much help Jordan had on those title teams.......
