Wrong. The Warriors are much better than the Kings and should be an injured Spurs team. Now, the Warriors beating the Spurs is meaningless. Had the Spurs lost to the Kings, the Rockets could have been spraying champagne tonight.

Right now the Spurs have the tiebreaker over Houston because of a better divisional record.

If both the Rockets and Spurs win tonight, then the Rockets will leap ahead of San Antonio due to taking the lead in the tiebreaker race.

See post #1. A Spurs loss provides no "insurance". The Spurs going 1-1, with a loss to the Warriors, still requires that the Rockets win out to win the division.

    A QUESTION:

The same game matters for the Spurs?

Yes, it could matter to the Spurs because of playoff positioning with the Blazers. If the Rockets go 2-0, for instance, the Spurs need to go 2-0 to finish ahead of the Blazers if the Blazers lose a game.
