Trade #1 pick for Ben Wallace
Trade #15 and Kenny Thomas to whoever picks Caron for Caron.
Trade Moochie Norris & Oscar Torres to Milwaukee for Mike Redd.

SF - Butler, Rice, Morris
PF - Taylor, Griffin
C - Wallace, Cato, Collier.

Super unrealistic ? Let's see. If Kandi walks, they need a C. If Mc Innis walks, they need a pretty decent back-up pg. Mix in some good cheap talent or draft talent. I'd bet the jailblazers offer something better, but not necessarily cheaper!

trade 15 \ KT \ Collier to Heat for 10
Nene, woods, 19yr old german, and Wilcox blow UP at workouts so Caron Butler drops to 10 and we grab him.

re-sign Willis for 1 more year for vetern leadership and 3rd string 5 and 4.

Convince Rice and Taylor to come off the bench for instant offense and better matchups against other backups. Allow Butler and Griffen to develope faster.

draft Juan Dixon with 2nd round pick.

Ming wont start this year. Face it. He wont be ready untill the all star break at the EARLIEST, and that is too early.

 

It seems that there is a consensus on this BBS to trade Kenny Thomas.

Why?

Is it because we have 3 PF? Is it because his contract is expiring and we don't want to sign him to multi-year contract. Is is because he is the best trade bait.

KT was one of the few bright spots in this terrible season. Without him I think the Rockets record would have been 20-62.
He was one of the few Rockets players that come to play every day.

Imagine if we do not have KT next season and Mo Taylor got injured or Griffin got injured or both. We will be very thin at the power forward.

So here are our 3 PF's :
1. Griffin had an OK rookie season . Showed some flashes of brilliance. Was injured for a while and plays more as a SF (fell in love with the 3pt). Needs to build more muscles to be PF.

2. Mo Taylor was sidelined for a whole year, had off-court problems and gained 70 pounds. We don't know what shape he will be in after the injury. Even before the injury he was one dimensional player hitting the 12-15 jumper.

3. Kenny Thomas. Was consistent all year. Rebounded well, passed well, played good defense (good steals and blocks) and the Rockets was dependent on him late in the season running isolation at the end of the game and he was effective at it. Was among the candidate for most improved.

You always need that extra body and Kenny seems it.

So really I do not understand why everyone wants Kenny out.

 

I'd rather lose MoT than KT if one has to go.

Best case realistic scenario:

1.Draft Yao
2.Obtain Odom or Lewis
3.Draft Nene or Stoudamire(if we still have #15 after move 2)

 

Get a center who can bang down low and actually has a post game.

 

There is alot of questions that surround Ming. I still think you have to draft him, but you better get the real thing at #15.

If Nene is there, I think the Rockets should take him. He is big and has a mean streak. If nothing else he could get some rebounds and pound some of the bigger centers in the NBA.

 

Get rid of at least one of our bad contracts, preferbaly Taylor's.

This is quite possibly the most idiotic, absurd, dumbass post I have ever read. I know it says " best possible scenario" but this is like saying " lets clone Shaq and Michael Jordan, sign them to both to 7 yr 3.5million dollar contracts and cure cancer, aids, and male pattern baldness while we are at it."

PLEASE try and post something even remotly possible like #1, Rice, Mo T, Griffen, and Brown for KG.
