Oh really? only a moron like him can be famous and influential. So I have to come to the conclusion that the spurstalk forum is crap.
**** you for the title. I almost passed out from anxiety. I sware if Yao is really hurt I don't know what I'll do...how much bad luck can this franchise have. It is a curse.
Even if this turns out to be true, I still consider us the favorite to win the last two games of the season. Hell, we already beat the Hornets IN New Orleans without Yao. And now the Hornets are even more short-handed than they were at that time... Dallas could be a bit tough, but we can handle it. I might even go so far as to say that we can beat whoever we play in the first round even without Yao... Unless we end up playing San Antonio. I wouldn't call us the favorites, but we could do it, IMO. NOTE: I am NOT saying we don't need Yao, much less that we're better off without him, but we are a very deep team, and much better than our record.
"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious." We all know that Simone was full of ****.
yao's playing, he was just on the news. he said he feels fine and that he has all summer to rest. adelman said keith jones doesn't have a problem with it and that yao will play tomorrow.
I don't get why people are freaking over 'Final two games = Regular season' they are the same thing. Plus lol at the people who scream ban at first sight, if his information is legit then good, we get insider info, if it is false then you ban. Oh ok, looks like he is playing.
According to this Chronicle post from Feigen early Monday morning, "Rockets expect Yao back in lineup against Hornets". http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6370587.html
Actually, it's understandable if the Rockets plan to avoid the Jazz in the 1st round. It's got nothing to do with fear or ethics, it's just a bad matchup for us. Happens all the time, and not only in this sport. The good thing about this year's schedule is that the Jazz will complete their regular season a day before we do - so management will be able to know before our final game what they need to do to avoid that matchup (if that's the intention). The best thing that happened last night was New Orleans beating Dallas. That means if the Jazz lose to the Lakers in the final game, the Hornets can still lose their final 2 games and the Mavs can still lose 1 of 2, and both will remain above the Jazz in the final standings. As it stands now, it's really down to the last game. That's why I expect to see Yao playing against the Hornets. If he doesn't, then the injury is causing him some problems or the team doesn't want to risk it. I doubt that there's any issue of fatigue, so resting him purely for that reason seems unlikely. He's had sufficient rest the past few days.
I think we dont have a guy who guard deke one on one if yao miss the last game. but we would have a chance to beat hornets without yao!
I think its still a worthwhile goal to try to win the SW division. We haven't won a division title in more than a decade and it still won't place us ant higher than third where we most likely see the Hornets. A friend and I debated this last night and he doesn't want to see Dallas or Utah and would rather face Portland in the first round. The only problem with the fourth seed is that it puts us in a collision course with LA in the second round as opposed to drawing the Spurs in the second round which would be a much better match up for us.
Wow, I seriously get the feeling many around here would have off-ed themselves if Yao really were out for the rest of the season and playoffs.
The Rockets say he will play according to Mr. Friedman. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Rockets_Breathe_Sigh_of_Relief-309129-34.html
