If we lose in the first round, I would blame Yao. If McGrady had to take the heat for his inability navigate the team past the first round, then Yao should also take the same heat because he's the captain now. It seems like Yao usually gets a pass, especially from his blind fans in China.

Well, considering Yao was not there last year, I somewhat agree.

If Yao is healthy and they do not get past the first round, he absolutely deserves some heat.

PS...the big sized text is annoying as hades.

i think it's different. tmac has been on teams where he's basically "the guy" and if he struggles, the team struggles. he's asked to do literally everything on the offensive end and even defensive end in the playoffs.

yao is not the prototypical player who is asked to do everything, even for an all-star center like he is. i mean, if this was hakeem, then yes you can blame the guy b/c at the end of the day he does take his 20-22 shots in the playoffs, play his 40-42 mins a game, and basically control every facet of the game. yao doesn't do that.

we have a very balanced team. there's a reason shane battier has claimed, and he's a huge yao fan, that scola is our MVP this year. the balance and depth on this team is the reason we're so good. if we're going to win, it's going to continue to be that.

so with a balanced team, i doubt you can blame anybody solely for a playoff loss.

I'm looking at the Western Conference teams, and none of the teams except maybe the Lakers scares me. Is that commentary about the Western Conference this year or is it because the Rockets have become that good?

Barring something we don't know about Yao's foot, I think we should be fine this year.

This is questionable. Its proven and obvious that whenever Yao or McGrady is injured and out for a long amount of time the team plays good. McGrady playing and Yao is out then the team is still winning. Yao playing and McGrady out the team just started playing well. Keep them both and just sign another guy to the medical staff if that's possible. Reduce their workouts and have them fresh. Tell Rick to expand his rotation and have other guys play.

I know in an earlier post i said blow up the team but I think the organization needs to try just one final time. Then again it is a business so who knows whats going to happen.

If the Rockets lose in the 1st Round again. Be prepared to see lots and lots of useless threads calling out Yao, Rick Aldeman, and McGrady ( Yeah blame a guy who isn't playing) We are going to see a lot of trade this guy for this guy. Bring back such and such.

I mean when we lose games in the regular season crazy threads pop up and its just funny. Losing a playoff series now that's something else. If you enjoy comedy then I think you should be here to read what guys have to say. I think this place is going to be divided with the Yao only fans, McGrady only fans, and the true Rockets fans.

I don't know but I can tell you one thing, I am prepared and ready for that. It is not gonna be tougher than the 06/07 series against the Jazz.

It's not about controling the ball, it is about leading your team and stepping up.

Will Yao be able to overcome fronting, Will Yao be able to establish himself download, will he be able to cut down his turnovers...

T-Mac had his chance, he failed. Now it's Yao's time.

Oh this is pretty good. Only a point-guard or a point-forward can get blamed for losing in the playoffs! Automatic exemption for everyone else!

If the Rockets consistently ignore Yao in the playoffs you could potentially argue that the blame should be spread around to his teammates.

If he gets plenty of touches and comes up short that's a different story.

You could, but should we be arguing about such pointless things right now?

Sadly, Yao has the best team and best role players. Imagine if McGrady had this team last year, he would of probably won last years series.

But now, we really have a good chance to win. The West is a little weak this year and I am confident we can beat these teams:

    Blazers, Hornots, Nuggets, Mavericks

Of all the adjectives to describe Hades, "annoying" is an interesting one.
