i understand. but over a 7 game series, it's EXTREMELY tough to beat a better team. and that 2004 team had a lot of chemistry problem and their 2 best players literally HATED each other. this team has great chemistry. i'm just being realistic.

    Jason Friedman twitter;

Yao said he's sore but not in pain. Feels totally different than foot issue last year. Expects to play final two games.

Yao rode bike today at practice. Coach expects him to play tomorrow.

I don't think any of us are going to feel at ease if he is feeling any discomfort whatsoever in the foot. History won't allow us to accept a best case scenario when it comes to Yao's injuries.

Better for him to sit out and play without any soreness or with a minimal degree of discomfort in the playoffs. No need to aggravate things.

    this is a sticky situation.

on one hand, yao playing injured in the playoffs doesn't bode well for the rockets. on the other hand, the playoffs would be meaningless without home court advantage. so yao must play in these final two games (if he can).

yeah sure. He was sore but not in pain in the Chicago game and look what happened after that. If he plays Monday in a meaningless game then he is crazy. He needs to rest. These 2 games compared to the Playoffs are useless. I rather have him for the Playoffs when games matter the most compared to 2 games that we can probably win without him. As long as we don't drop to number 8 I feel we can beat pretty much anybody we play.

    Breaking news:

    Yao is human.

Man look, over an 82 game schedule, even the most healthy players on the planet will get a minor sprain, some bumps and bruises. This time of year is when the trainers and such make their paper. Yao's fine, and the fact that he got 3 days off, got treatment, then will possibly have 2 MORE days after wednesday, is a very good thing...

If yall think this is the only Rocket (on the active roster) that has a bump or a bruise, then you are sadly mistaken.

We are about to shock the world folks...so buckle up.

There isn't an NBA player this late in the season who doesn't have a part of their body sore.

People need to stop overreacting and making comparisons with last year cause they are nothing alike. Last year Yao was wincing in that Chicago game. He hadn't been able to do his spin move in a while.

He was moving really well in Sacramento, even did a couple of his spin moves. He was really quick off the block.

And remember there are no back to backs in the playoffs. Have faith.

This is the most alarm thing IMO, Aldeman is forcing Yao to play. ;)

Now I can really see Yao retire when hes around 33 or 34.

I would look to trade him in the off-season for the RIGHT deal if his feet continue to bother him.

Get anything while he has value...
