I would not mine seeing Ming picked #1 by Houston, the problem I have is, will he fit in with his team mates? The team we have now is a close group (excluding Collier & Langi). Will Steve & Cat have enough patience?Does Ming speak English?
It's been said that he speaks english fairly well and has a good personality...I don't think there would be a problem bonding with his teammates.
They're supposed to be proffesional basketball players so they better have enough patience. This is there work they don't need to be buddies, that might even be negative in some ways. Anyway I don't think language is gonna be a problem (I've read that he speaks ok english) and ethnicity has nothing to do with friendship if your worried about that. Yao will probably experience some cultural diferencis but I don't think it'll be such ashock that it'll affect his play.
The language is not the problem. The real question is will they let Ming play before December. I would rather they trade the choice and get someone that will be here for training camp and the whole season.
He will not have to much timeto make to many friend right away with all the media attention he will get in the beginning. But friends are not hard to make when you are winning hopefully.
