I remember I read it from somewhere, about 17% players have a bone bruise.

I can't decide whether or not this is good news or bad news. In the short-term, I guess it can be considered good news, if Yao is able to play through the pain in the playoffs. But long-term, it just shows that Yao will always be hit with some sort of injury-bug. I just wish the timing was different...

Holy Dr. Scholl's Batman, this is a relief. Could still turn worse than we hope, but this is a good sign.

Clutch Fans are all doctors and have so much medical experience. Why? Cause we get the most injuries in the league.

Like someone else stated in another thread, rest Yao for the Hornets game and bring him back for the Mavericks game. I believe the Rockets can't win Monday against the Hornets, since they will coming off playing the Mavericks the night before.

bad news, though it could've been worse.

rest him monday and we go from there. hopefully we have a short and victorious first round and all players have a ton of rest b/w the 1st and 2nd round.

Jeez, I was kidding. Chris Bosh may be a future Rocket, so I'm just securing the nick until that happens. :D

Dear Lord, so a bone in his foot was damaged, a step below a fracture. It seems as though a bone that is bruised is more vulnerable to a fracture. Does bone heal quick enough that a week of rest will make a difference?

Also, since he's over 300lbs could simply running and jumping cause a fracture in a bone bruise in the foot? Dear God!

Man Yao always having problems every season. I hate that he is so fragile. He should stop taking chinese herbs and just drink 3 glasses of milk a day.

or maybe the fact that he's a large dude and this weight puts a lot of stress on his feet may explain something.
