It seems everyone is cheering for Deke. Yeah, he was pretty good last night. But I just want to remind you guys of Scola, who scored 28 for his career high and led the way to win. He danced a great Tango in the paint.

He ought to be cheered like Deke.

Definitely, not only did he have a career high of 28 but 9 rebounds and 4 assists too. Both he and Deke set the tone for the game. Luis made two big free throws down the stretch too.

I think the "problem" is that most people already got used to great performances of Luis. Nevertheless a great game but this night belongs to Deke.

I hope Deke will change his mind of retiring and play in houston for another year or two.

Yeah... I think he is the best back up center in the league.

He is really a good player with high basketball IQ, but I do not think he's got enough chances to shoot, if he has, he'll be better.....

I think scola could average 18 points on a bad team.

Luis is so consistently solid that people start to take it for granted. The guy never misses a game and gives you everything he's got every minute he is on the court.

Scola is the man, houston fans always b**** about bad players and never give props to good players. We have the worst fans ever.

Scola is good enough to deal with bad teams.

Unfornately, he is not good enough to deal with good teams. He is too bad in one by one defense.

I agree with you 100%. I have been saying since we got Ron that we didn't have a big three..but a big FOUR. I remember when I said that Scola could easily average 12-14 points and 8-10 rebounds for the season, and some thought I was insane because there was not enough ball to go around.

Scola has proven that he could be even a 20 point per game scorer if he was given the green light. But he plays within the team concept and realizes that Yao is the main man.

We should NEVER underestimate how valuable Scola is to this team.

There is some truth in what you say,but he doesn't quit trying. Case in point was his poor performance against the Spurs at home but he bounced back in San Antonio. Offense is his calling card, defense still needs improvement.

Scola has become our go-to guy down the stretch. Mostly as a result of the additional attention Yao gets in the 4th, but even last night without Yao, he made some big buckets.
He has become deadly from the elbow, and in the 4th qtr it is almost like a lay-up

Definitely agree, but I'll raise you one. He can still start in the league for some of the teams on East.

we have never forgotten scolandry. Haven't we started tons of threads about landry's injury and situation? landry is just a half of scolandry, scola is the other half.
