Hey DD, No Austin plans for this one yet, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. The problem is we're losing a cast member to grad school this summer so we'd have to re-cast. If you want to make sure to see it, come down this week and catch a Rockets game while you're here. There are tentative plans to take THE STRANGERER, our hit comedy from last year, to Austin for a week in September though. Will keep you posted on that.
OK. Got two tickets for Saturday night. I'll be the Douchebag with the Hot Chick. Where might you be that evening in case I want to say hi?
2 more reviews. Both raves. But click at your own risk: Lots of spoilers within. http://www.29-95.com/art/story/hunter-gatherers-invokes-primal-urge http://www.houstonpress.com/2009-04...-constant-star-hunter-gatherers-little-women/
Bats: Gotta say kudos to you. Definitely some laugh out loud scenes. (now here comes me being a dick.) As I walked out, I was just ok with it. However, as the play recalls through my head, I'm amazed at how well I remember each and every character's performance. While I thought a couple of the scenes were mainly only included for shock value alone, my girl thought they helped define the story. Color me shocked, but she left with tears in her eyes. I think anytime you can get that reaction, something was done well. Of course, I'm just a jaded ass. Sorry we missed you afterwards. We were all kind of herded out the door, and we had to grab something to eat before everything closed. I will definitely do another show of yours.
the fact that i live in San Francisco and missed this makes me a huge dumbass. i had no idea. i have no excuse.
Oddest point of the night? My telling her that Bats opened my eyes about homophobia. Her sharing that she opened her exes eyes quite a bit to that as well with her friends. Crap. Wish I'd been involved.
7:30's perfect. I love to meet clutchfans so make sure you say hello. I'll be the bald white guy walking around shaking hands.
Hey Jason, I just wanted to say that the wife and I really enjoyed the show. No need to apologize for it being 'weird'. Just cause I wore a button-down collar shirt don't mean I've never had my junk in a rack of lamb
It's baaaack... And new and improved. Opened tonight. I'm in L.A., but according to the dozens of texts I received from backstage, there was raucous laughter, the cast was interrupted several times by spontaneous applause in the middle of scenes and received a standing ovation at the end. All tickets still Pay-What-You-Can. There are still tickets for tonight (Saturday). See it quick because you will probably want to come back armed with friends. If you never see another show of mine, see this one. It is ****ing hilarious. See my sig for details.
