This is scary to me, regardless of how poorly thought out the plot was, so I don't really want to make light of it. That being said, can you imagine Robert Gibbs going after a shoe-thrower like Dana Perino did? I'd expect him to take cover at the first sight of a shoe.

What an idiot. That's like bringing a knife to a gun fight. The guy would have gotten one stab attempt, and it's highly unlikely that you're going to kill someone as dignified as the President with one knife thrust. The medical attention Obama would have received, no matter how great the stab wound, would have most likely saved his life. FAIL.
