OK, I figure that time of the year has come to show our appreciation to Clutch and this great site and to give back a little. Plus, I personally would like to do whatever I can to prevent bogged down servers or downtime during crucial moments :) (ex: if we make it past the 1st round).

So here's how I'm planning to donate, in case any of you guys want to do the same. I pledge:

    -- $5 now
-- $2 for every game won in the playoffs
-- Minimum of $10 will be donated (in case the Rockets don't win enough to equal the other $5)

The reason I want us to donate now is so that it benefits the site sooner rather than later. I'm sure come playoff time things will get pretty crazy. Anyway, the method I proposed doesn't have to be standard. I know times are tough, but I encourage everyone to chip in whatever they can because I'm sure even the littlest bit helps.

I've browsed through several other basketball forums and I can honestly say I haven't come across another bbs as great as ClutchFans. Let's do whatever we can to help Clutch maintain that.

Considering speed of this site, it is probably 100mbps, and likely it is a fairly good processor, so I'd guess $550-$750 a month minimum.

Likely he makes a fairly good amount off those ads though, but that is for all the time put in to this forum.

But that's my guess $12,000 or so in donations a year would easily keep this server afloat w/out any ads (and no profit either, just saying break even price)

imho, there's no chance clutch ends up losing money with this site.

if anything clutch should be making some good money off of it (well deserved). :)

but it's probably not enough to pay all his bills. ;)
