Yeah i also think Sasha got to him, Vujacic talks a lot during games, so i'm sure he said something to Wafer because wafer was trying to hard to block his shot, he kept swinging at it wildly, which is why he fouled him that one time, and a second time, but it wasnt called. He's got some Artest in him.

Hmmm, He has looked pretty damn good to me.

I don't see what you guys are talking about, and frankly I am confused.

He was a bright spot in the Laker game.

    PG play on the otherhand...

I'm afraid artest actually doesn't care rockets' wins.
    He just cares himself.
Even T-Mac is more willing to pass the ball to Yao.

If the team had a leader at PG who controlled the offense the Ron problem wouldn't be such an issue.

So we're questioning whether or not we should bench Artest all the while offering no solution in the event that we did?

He doesnt need to be benched, someone just needs to get in his face and get back to playing team ball when he starts going nuts.

With Rafer gone there is nobody on the team that has that personality.

our team just need that kind of player who can 100% devote himself to the game without concerning anything. Yao is a good man with great sense of ethics and kindness but that also makes him seem feminine sometimes, he doesn't even talk trash after his mother and other family members get greeted rudely.

I doubt why there are never posts criticizing Artest publicly when he frustrates us so much.

You know, I really want to hear Nuno and Raheel's comment on this. They did before that Artest does play like that and it'll be fine.

    I'd like to second this.

DD, you area a fool to want more Wafer and less (not only) Artest and Battier. Yes lets play less defense and more sometimes offense.

:p great players are also very great for trash talk. Words are a big part of the games, for defenders the trash talk is always more effective than a hand covering the shooter's eyes.

What's the point of benching him at this point?

The team is what it is, and benching him certainly isn't going to improve our situation.

I really think once Landry's back, things are going to start looking a bit better -- but our identity right now includes Artest jacking up shots and bull rushing towards the basket, for better or worse. That's how we're going to close the season, and that's how we're going to play in the playoffs.

I don't think we're going to win any championships with this approach, but yeah, don't bench him...

I want more Wafer and some minutes cut from both Artest and Battier. (not start him, but split the 96 minutes more evenly between the 3).

Yes it weakens our defense but it improves our offense as well, and Wafer puts more pressure on opposing teams to keep up offensively.....

Battier is a great team defender, Artest is an average team defender who gambles and gets a lot of steals.

The problem with both is that they are not very athletic or quick, and get beaten relatively easily by quicker players.....so while their D is good, it is actually not as great as some people think it is....certainly Wafer's D is not great, but at least he has speed and athleticism to recover.

I would just like to see him getting more run, he fits in with a Yao oriented team the best out of all our wings....he can shoot the 3, attack the rim, and hit the mid range......with more playing time, I think he gets even better.

sometimes you should just learn to live with a beast instead of trying to control him, the harder you control him the more rage he will hold against you. Rick is just using an invisible cage to keep Ron from getting beyond the bottom line of ethics, he has done a good job by far.
