If there are no major deals done this season. Only that Mobley is resigned. So starting lineup is Hak, Cato, Walt, Shandon, and Francis. Backups: Moochie, Mobes, Carlos, Kenny, Massenburg, and KT. I think it would be kind of dissapointing to finish 42-40. I would be happy with 48-34. I would be extremely happy if they got over 50 wins ------------------ Now introducing the starting lineup for your Houston Rockets: Starting at Center, from Wake Forets TIM DUNCAN...
Rocket03, I'm glad you're not CD, because somehow you lost your 1st round pick in that scenario above. i agree, i see a bright future and sound bargaining position in January next year as well as the summer. No reason to throw chemistry to the wind and trade just for the hell of it. We'll do fine next year, and all our player's trade value will increase. I think we'll get more value for everyone in January than this summer. Short of a blockbuster Popeye trade, I'd remain very picky and very patient in listening to trade offers.
judging by the late run during the season, we can make a 12-15 game improvement over our current record...I believe that would give us 45-50 wins next year... ------------------
Barring injuries. I'd guess at a 44-38 record, and an 8th seed spot in the playoffs, providing us with an ample opportunity to knock the Lakers out in the first round. ------------------
I figure with as many close games the Rockets lost this year, they should be able to win 10-15 more games next year. I'm with you on that one HP. We MUST be cautious about what players are involved in any trades. The time of the BIG deal is done for the Rockets. We MUST keep the core(our backcourt) together. Look for Drew and either Cato OR Rogers to be gone next year. 48-53 wins giving us anywhere from the 4th-7th seed. ------------------ We're going to miss you Chuck! Thanks for all the memories!
47-35 will be their record. I have faith in Rudy and his upgrade strategy. DaDakota ------------------
